A flammable piece of equipment catches fire and explodes. One of the robbers burns to death, the guard is killed, and a heavily injured robber barely escapes. The CSI team has to find out what went wrong with the robbers' plan, and if the robbery is connected to the kidnapping of the infant child of a bank employee.

A mounted cop is shot by a sniper. Mac searches for the bullet and learns it's in the horse. He is told that to remove could prove fatal and he's being asked to delay the procedure because the family who donated the horse wants to come say good bye. Mac doesn't make any promises but he tries putting off which upsets Stella. Aiden is sent to investigate a possible murder in a pizzeria but the owner "tells" her to leave. So she goes back with back-up.
