Horatio works from the fencing side too as a related murder occurs.

Maggots dropping down to the neighbor below from an apartment being renovated allow discovery of the body of Peg Donovan. Her skull was smashed with lumber, but she survived. Horatio's only logical suspect is Mason Shaw, who was convicted for raping her, and maybe planning from jail to prevent her testimony ruining his up-coming parole hearing. The team must find proof beforehand if he orchestrated everything from his Georgia prison somehow manipulating his own son - Chuck Shaw.

When an arm is found in the glades, bitten off by a crocodile, Krista falsely points to her scorned lover Art Pickering. Adolescent Lana walker is found with her tennis instructor David Kendall, but came consensually and reached statutory consent age. To the team's dismay, the media coverage dies down now the arm can 'only' belong to Cosuela, missing daughter of Francisco Valdes.

A local surfer known as John Smith was fatally smashed by the storm against Todd's windshield, albeit the accountant has a colorful past. Jed Gold is found loading possessions from the home of his ex, who got a restraining order and is found dead inside, but from a ricochet bullet and Jed didn't shoot. Martin Medesto dies in Horatio's presence, spiked on his torn-down fence, but before the hurricane.

Formula One star Jimmy Hutton's pit crewman, Chris Petrie, dies in an invisible fire started by methanol on his gloves. The water hose was sabotaged and the race car tampered. The team must work out the possible suspects' motives, from owner Hayley Wilson, to crew mates and rivals such as Ernest Mansfield.

A stock trading firm's janitor finds option trader Stephen Bremer dead, his throat slit, in his office, next to champagne and stiletto heel traces. He used a laptop, which is gone, to order over a WiFi in a nearby building (to avoid his employer's spy-ware) for $1,000 as 'RoughTrade' prostitute Amanda, who was however on Jason Flager's commercial web-cam at the time of the murder... Meanwhile, Horatio's dirty cop brother Raymond Caine's case is re-opened and eventually solved when Horatio Caine learns Susie Barnam Keaton is arrested shortly after her probation in Indiana for possession of met-amphetamine, which actually belongs to her partner Robert 'Bob' Keaton, with whom she raises 4 year-old Madison, but after she posts his bail Horatio finds the girl is biologically Ray's...

In the marina, a shark fatally bites Cindy Castiano, attracted by a bleeding earlier shot wound. She worked for P.I. Bruno Gomez to entrap wealthy men. So the suspects include victimized adulterers Carl Purdue, who as ruined and threatened her life, and Matthew Warner, who believes she loved him. Eric tries to pussyfoot after finding MPD detective Frank Tripp's fingerprints and his name on a client list.

Her hunky, poorer boyfriend Tommy Chandler is shocked to find her in the morgue, he thought the police was part of the game: he booked for her at the firm a kidnapping, for which she consented on video. The firm's two regular independent subcontractors seem to level, so the team looks into the families and friends - Meanwhile Eric Delko is in trouble after a painful fight with violent thief Hector Jones, accidentally messing up Detective Frank Tripp's investigation.

A young woman dies during a routine plastic surgery, and her husband takes legal action against the beauty clinic. A week later, the anesthesiologist Carlos Garza is found hanged in his own condo. Carlos is thought to have had arguments with the plastic surgeon Keith Winters and the nurse Debbie Morbach on how to deal with the lawsuit, though the details of their encounters are kept secret. The CSI team also finds out that Carlos was a womanizer and had sexual relationships with several of his female patients. While it is clear that he was murdered, the CSI team has a constantly growing list of suspects. Multiple people had access to Carlo's condo (the crime scene) prior to his death, and several of them had reasons to hurt him.

Diamond dealer Richard Beckham is shot dead and robbed in a parking lot during an argument after a bumper-contact, but by a third person; the only witness, Eugene Thomas Walter, has a mental age of eight and can badly distinguish fact from fiction, but forensics are conclusive, yet Eugene is the victim of a fatal attempt on his life... The corpse of black teenager Jenny Kincaid is sold after a fatal fall by a contract driver, instead of being delivered to the CSI morgue, to- her own father Thomas, who was cheating on her mother...

Juan Marco Varon is found in his cigar shop, throat slit with his own cutter, but previously marked with his own box branding iron. Fellow Cuban Eric helps Horatio work out his true identity and the parts played by Cuba Libre activist Marisela Gonzalez and newly arrived refugee Carlos Gonzalez. Matt Bolton was shot near his bank's ATM. Speedle works out the part played by haughty Melanie Hines, whose BMW, reported stolen shortly after, was registered by the security camera.

By using a flame-resistant blanket as cover during a sudden fire, Eric saves his and Alex's lives and the corpse they came to examine in the Everglades. While they recover, Speedle and Calleigh identify the hunter and check on his mates and park rangers, possibly involved in poaching. Horatio, Eric and Trip find a female corpse where the fire may have been started. From car trails they follow trails to her presumed abusive husband Dale Stahl and an Indian reserve casino, which seems central in sexual prowling.

The story starts with a car chase. The well-known paparazzi Jerry Dorfman is trying to escape someone chasing him. Dorfman accidentally crashes his car and is injured. He is later found suffocated by an unknown attacker, though his latest photographs get leaked to the press anyway. The CSI team finds out that Dorfman was stalking action star Brad Tustin. He had photographed Brad in sexually suggestive poses with another man. Brad had the motive to silence Dorfman, though there is no physical evidence against him. Horatio takes a closer look at Dorfman's photos and discovers that Dorfman had accidentally photographed movie star Danny Cato (Brad's next-door neighbor) while Danny was attacking a female acquaintance. The woman was later found dead, and Dorfman was in danger as the only witness to a murder. Danny claims that the man in the photo is actually his stand-in Gabe Rotter, who is very similar to him in appearance. Horatio has to determine which of the two men killed the woman.

Retired surfing legend Ted Henderson is shot in front of his wife by a masked man. Horatio finds packed heroine in son Jason's room, which he bought for a valuable statue from Haitian dealer Maurice Dushamp who calls Jason his best pusher. Jason's clients were school mates, caddies, Ted's factory employee Joseph 'Joe' Zellar, and Steve Davis, who is later found with an authentic suicide note. When mother Joanne refuses a rape examination, Horatio guesses she's pregnant, and starts tying all the knots...

Paul Donlan survived, unlike his colleague, an attack with heavy caliber and explosives to rob $3.2 million from his lightly armored van, sent from Robert Mackenzie's bank branch. Horatio happened to be nearby for family business and soon tracks down the partner of the killer, whom he had to shoot for resisting arrest. FBI Agent Peter Elliott gets involved as it turns out the cash was counterfeit, made from Iraqi dollar-like banknotes. Donlan's motive means a major twist, exposing a surprising conspiracy.

Avi Golan, FBI Special Agent Sackheim's key witness against an also Israeli gang, is fatally stabbed many times in the chest, presumably by their crazy-sadistic hit-man Danny Fisch. Adolescent Wally Shmagin, masquerading as CSI, later identified from the website of a forensic club, manages by surprise to steal a bloody glove from Speed's crime scene. Coaching him for the hearing keeps going wrong, ultimately fatally. Waitress Barbara Nance's corpse is found in a dumpster. Ants trace back to Mark Hobbes's bizarre Colombian nightclub bar.

Only Decker's partner Wes Gallagher had occasion to plant the bomb. Neighbour Jeff Latham threatened him an account of airplane nuisance, but Adam's wife was one of many in the neighborhood committing adultery with ex-pilot Tony Macken, and their homes all contain secretly installed quality cameras. Meanwhile a home-made bomb, a modified smart-phone, explodes on a naturally died parking valet when Woods touches his vest.

Veronica Grant is knocked unconscious when hitting a water pump and so badly chilled that the paramedic, whose equipment is out of order, erroneously sends her to the morgue. Finding a torn-off fingernail on her car, the team returns to the site and finds up in a tree the corpse of her lesbian lover and new roommate, Nicole Harjo, who was fatally pierced with an odd object before the crash, just after dumping her boyfriend. Gangsta rapper Dwayne '10-Large' Jackman is uncooperative, even refusing medical help, after an apparently, near-missed shot kills his just-recruited bodyguard, who may however be the target himself. Jackman's plagiarism-accuser Roy 'Thugg G' Moran was present, as always. Horatio checks out the agency and finds a rogue with a criminal record on his payroll was just fired by sports commenter Dan Dakota.

Episode 23

Examining the bloody murder of a Miami father and his wife, which the teenage daughter survived, Horatio's team soon finds trails to a car rented by a man who flew in from New York City. There Horatio teams up with his CSI counterpart Mac Taylor, who is examining a cop-killing, possibly by the same murderer. Together they follow him, work out what erroneously drove him to Miami and arrive at an analogous crime scene, where rich Michael Hanover and his wife were killed, badly stabbed adolescent son Mike Jr. The matter of key access suggests some involvement of the janitor.

Episode 24

Frat guy Kyle and his girlfriend discover, while frolicking in a park, the corpse of Miami porn star Ashley Anders, who was strangled using nine fingers. The porn firms group's boss David Jeffers has an abuse record, but also an alibi. His lawyer is soon found to be the one after evidence-destruction trough a prison trustee employed as CSI cleaner. Ashley's roommate Sara Piper and colleague 'Cookie Devine' as well as her dog, who bit the strangler, prove crucial, as well as some document tampering.
