A trailer explodes, killing a man and a woman. The neighbors in the densely populated trailer claim to have seen nothing. The team, reunited, investigates the crime scene and finds suspicious tire marks as well as paint transfer from a car all over the place. Catherine and Warrick are pulled away from this case when a dead body of a scantily-dressed woman is found in a bad neighborhood. While on this case, Catherine finds out that Warrick is married. Back at the lab, Grissom receives an audio tape from Nick's kidnapping case. On it, there is evidence suggesting that the perpetrator had an accomplice.

Julian Harper, a famous movie star, is found dead in his hotel suite after a wild night of partying and sex. Although his room has many traces of drugs and alcohol, his tox report shows that he couldn't have died from an overdose. He suffocated to death, yet his neck shows no signs of strangulation. Another case involves the death of three people, two Laotians and a taxi driver. One of the Laotians, as well as the unlucky cabbie, died from gunshot wounds. The other man, found in his car, died from excessive blood loss. This case leads the CSIs to a laundry facility that employs many South East Asians.

Nick arrives at the house of Jude McBride and the sheriff explains to him that they received an anonymous call reporting a possible crime. There is blood everywhere inside the house including three large pools. Nick learns that the Jude, Nina, Jeremy and Cassie McBride are a happy family and they are missing. Sara arrives in the house and tells to Nick that Grissom is at a conference. Then Warrick and Greg also arrive to help the investigation. Soon Sara finds a marijuana farm in the basement of the house. They also find that the anonymous phone call had called several times the family phone and they locate the caller, the local Dr. Malcolm Parker. When the laboratory discovers the identity of one fingerprint, the case begins to be resolved.

A woman is found dead on the floor of her house near her baby's cradle. The gun in her hand, as well as a suicide note and a fridge-full of breast milk, suggest that it was a suicide. The lack of blood on her hand, however, indicates that she was murdered. During autopsy, it is revealed that her hymen is still intact; she is still a virgin despite having given birth to a son. Meanwhile, Grissom is called in by Ecklie to refute an experiment involving insects which were used to create a time-line for a murder case.

The episode opens with a high-speed chase involving many cars. During the chaos, one of the police officers is shot and killed by another police officer. Brass and Sofia worry over who is responsible. Meanwhile, the CSIs have a crime scene spreading over many blocks, with hundreds of bullets scattered all around, to process.

The fourth criminal. Jose Fausto, is shot to death while leaving the motel with the Warrick and Det. Cavaliere. Meanwhile, the CSI investigates the occupants of the Buick, who are involved in drug trafficking. Grissom uses a dummy to determine who shot Bell. Then he is summoned by Undersheriff McKeen to explain the truth to the angry community. Capt. Brass meets Mrs. Bell in the funeral and they embrace each other.

Cap. Brass, Grissom, Catherine and Greg investigate a man found dead in a dumpster of a restaurant. The man is well dressed to be homeless and Dr. Robbins finds in the autopsy that his stomach had six liters of food inside and his fingernails have been chewed down. David Phillips finds a napkin from a pretzel stand and Catherine goes there to interview the owner, where she retrieves his wallet. When she finds the business card of the promoter for the Extreme Eating Federation, Digger James, they start to track down the steps of Jerry Gable. Meanwhile, Sofia Curtis, Nick and Sara investigate the death of Michael and Lori Tinsley in their home. They see also a car in the driveway that does not belong to them. There are also vinyl records missing in their collection. They also find the golden retriever Kahlua inside a room. They summon the owner of the car, Missy Halter, who tells that she is Michael's girlfriend and had lent her car to him. Further, the Tinsley couple was divorcing and she took the albums for Michael as per his request. When Davis Phillips finds a bullet in Michael's brain and Nick learns that a golden retriever also called Kahlua was found in the park, the team solves the case.

The CSI team is called to help when Karen Mathews reports her son, Jesse, missing from a playground where he was playing on the swings. Witnesses report seeing a man with a blue baseball cap near the swings. Clues in the park bathroom include blood and the boy's underpants. The boy is eventually found in a store, accompanied by a woman with a man fitting the earlier description. But the couple with the boy claim that he is their son Adam, while Karen insists he is her missing son Jesse.

The CSI's investigate the death of a very hairy man. At a quick glance, the body can be easily mistaken for a werewolf. The man died from a gun shot wound. He, along with his sister, has a rare genetic disorder which causes excessive hair growth.

The motocross racer Ahren Green is found dead in his garage of his girlfriend Bianca Desmond, stabbed on the thigh. Grissom believes the couple was having a threesome with Chelsea Wannamaker, who found the body. Bianca says that Ahren and she were planning to move to a cabin that belongs to her father in Colorado. Meanwhile Warrick finds a bullet in a coke can and brings it to the ballistic. They also find blood from Bianca's former boyfriend Justin Cole, who tells Brass and Greg that he was shot in the leg by an unknown man and left Bianca. They also find semen on the bed from Ahren, Bianca and Chelsea, who is Bianca's mother. They proceed their investigation trying to find the killer and the motive. Meanwhile, Det. Sofia Curtis, Catherine and Nick investigate the murder of Sylvia Mullins in her parking lot, crushed between her car and the wall. Nick finds the name of Kelly Gordon in her agenda and she becomes the prime suspect. However, they do not find any evidence that puts her in the crime scene.

The wealthy socialite Lois O'Neill is giving a birthday party in Las Vegas for VIP. She is a former dancer and singer that was the mistress of the powerful mobster Tony Constantine. When the waiter Tim Duke is murdered in her closet with a shot to the chest and the gun left on his body in a mafia style, the entire CSI team is assigned to investigate the case. Lois is missing and her assistant Eve Girard has found the body. When Grissom asks her to open a large vault in the closet, Lois is hidden inside. She tells to Grissom that she was changing her clothes when she heard the shot and saw Tim crawling on the floor. She immediately closed the door of the vault to protect herself. Soon they discover the real name of Tim Duke, the former boxer Vincent Pullone. When D. Robbins shows Grissom that Tim was paralyzed with the first shot, Grissom begins to resolve the case.

A man walks into a shabby apartment and shoots the occupant. On his way home, a teenager's car crashes into his car. Ally Sullivan insists on calling the police but the man refuses. As he leaves, he sees her texting her phone. Thinking that she's calling the police, he kills her. The CSIs have a hard time finding this killer as he knows how to cover his tracks really well. He is truly a professional.

A half-naked woman is found half buried in the desert with a branding on her arm. She has no hair and is missing her right hand. The woman turns out to be Lady Heather's estranged daughter. The autopsy reveals that the woman was a victim of an experiment and starved to death. The team investigates the Betz Clinic where the deceased underwent a sleep therapy session for her insomnia.

Episode 16

Excessive smoke coming from a fire place alerts the fire department, which in turns calls the CSIs as a charred body is found inside the chimney. The body is burnt beyond recognition. A gym membership card found on the body identifies him as the son of the house's owner. The opportunity to search the house leads Catherine and Warrick to look for any evidence about a one-year-old disappearance of a young girl who was on her way to this house before she vanished without a trace.

A woman is coming home staggering when her neighbor Christina Hollis stumbles into her crying, bleeding and nervous, since she has been raped. Grissom and Catherine investigate the case and are followed by a camera and a television crew of a reality show since the sheriff has authorized them believing that it would be good for the image of the department. They collect evidences from the apartment. Sofia interviews Christina in the hospital but she has no recollections of her assault. Their first suspect is the maintenance guy but his duct tape is different from the one used in Christina. Archie examines the elevator camera and sees a young man with flowers getting off at her floor. Later he is identified as Dwight Reynolds, who used to date Christina. Soon they believe the person of interest is a fireman. When the team crosses Christina's case with other recent cases, they succeed to find the suspect.

In a courtroom, Det. Sofia, Dr. Robbins and Nick go to the stand to testify about the murder of the popular high-school student Stacy Vollmer, who was found wrapped in a shower curtain and buried in a flower bed in her school. The prime suspect is Marlon West, and all the evidences point to him. When his twelve-year-old sister Hanna goes to the stand and confesses the crime, the judge gives seventy-two hours to the prosecution to check the evidences to proceed the trial without reasonable doubt. Who killed Stacy Vollmer?

The fortune teller Sedona Wiley is found murdered and her Sixth Sense Occult Shop trashed when her clients Anna Leah and Lori return to the shop, where Anna forgot her sunglasses. Grissom arrives at the place and the girls tell him that after they leave Sadona, they were almost hit by a car in the street and Lori slapped the hood of the car. Greg joins Grissom replacing Warrick and he claims he has experience in the occult, and he thinks that Sedona has predicted her own death. They collect evidences and learn that Sedona died with a single bullet. When the retired detective Packey Jameson visits Capt. Brass, he says that he visited Sedona to get information about a cold case that haunts him, the murder of Claire Wallace by her husband Gordon Wallace that he was not able to prove since her body was never found. He drilled about thirty holes in the desert looking for Claire's body. Sedona told him that her body was buried in Summerlin. Now the CSI goes with Packey to look for Claire's body in Summerlin.

When three teenagers are murdered while stapling posters, one on the tree and two on the ground. Grissom and Nick arrive at the crime scene and do not find any identification of the teenagers. Using the serial number of a rod of a custom hydraulic cylinder, they reach the name of Jeremiah Calvin and Nick and Warrick keeps his residence in stakeout. Soon they learn the rappers Dollar and Hi-Def have a beef, and the detectives and CSI team interview rappers, managers and crews to find the criminals.

Episode 21

When the body of the notorious and wealthy defense lawyer Diane Chase is dragged by a convertible driven by her son and his wife with beer cans after their wedding, Greg, Nick and Sara investigate the case. They collect evidences including interviews of workers and guests along eleven hours. Greg and Sara are having breakfast at a coffee shop and Nick joins them. Out of the blue, his truck with the evidences is stolen. Grissom and Capt. Brass arrive and Grissom says that the evidences are compromised, even if recovered. Diane was the lawyer of the mobster Dino Fatelli, who was sentenced to life recently, and her death is in the press. Further, Internal Affairs will interview them. Now, Sara, Nick and Greg use their remembrances expecting to find what have happened.

When a man is found dead in an alley wearing expensive clothes, Grissom and Catherine meet Capt. Brass at the scene. They collect evidences and find a room key from the Palermo hotel in his pocket. Soon they learn his name, Jeff Powell, and he was driving a Ferrari with a sexy blonde. They identify the blonde as Heidi Wolf, who had one-night stand with Jeff. She says that he felt in love with her, but she did not want a long relationship. Capt. Brass and Grissom interview Jeff's boss, Los Angeles' producer Mick Sheridan, who tells them that Jeff was his assistant and saved millions of dollars in his divorce. So he was rewarded with a dream trip to Las Vegas. When Det. Sofia and Nick located the rented Ferrari, they find small damages and soon they discover that a black Corvette was the responsible. They interview the driver, Randy Bolen, who admits that lost a large amount to Jeff in a single game. When they learn that the Caprice Unlimited rented the Ferrari and the Corvette, they find that the company realizes clients' fantasies and they start to solve the case.

Episode 23

Mrs. Cutler is found dead, shot through the mouth, in her own home, which shows no signs of forced entry or disturbances. Her husband, Mr. William Cutler, is missing, only to be found later, alive, at his office where all of his co-workers were shot dead. He left the bloody scene with only a minor injury. All of this quickly becomes a hostage situation when Mr. Cutler, after shooting a security at a casino, holds a woman hostage.

Episode 24

While Jim Brass is in surgery the team has two cases to tackle. The first involves a man, found decapitated on train tracks, with a 19-inch waist. Further investigation reveals that he wore a wasp corset, as was fashionable with gentlemen during the Civil War. The other crime scene is in a hotel room where a man is found in his boxers, dead, on the bed. Scattered around the room are evidence of a wild night of alcohol, drugs, and sex. Ellie, Brass's estranged daughter, comes to visit her father from LA.
