Incaptivity with Ellie, Morgan fights their kidnapper, only to be surprised by an unsuspected cahoot, who plans an equally surprising last murder.

Latino Timo Padia was shot before he corpse was dropped and the exit blocked, probably to trap the band. CSI soon realizes it could be elaborate revenge for another hate core-related murder.

While trying to taste a mystery ingredient, they discover to have been 'suuplied' with human remains. those turn out to belong to a recently eliminated candidate. While the team works out possible motives and opportunity, a former jury guest chef is also murdered. Meanwhile Hodges grudgingly helps Elisabetta with the wedding preparations, only to realize they want incompatible futures.

In lush recluse millionaire Jack Witten's opulent estate, the corpse of an 'easy' girl is found. D.B. warns Sara not to go too far again as he 'got away' in her first major case without Grissom, similar MO, 14 years earlier. Greg is fascinated by Witten's failed project for an original casino and shares his obsession for film. Another girls is found in Witten's preservation room, but her story is full of holes, leading the team to secrets which shed a surprising light on both present and old crimes.

D.B.'s wife wants him to retire and buy their Seattle dream house while their son is up for an Indiana basketball scholarship. Suspicion soon falls on the dealer, Kristi Holt, actually Sikes's partner in several robberies. There are also links to hard-handed drug baron Louis Delgado and the pawn shop run by Kyle and Zeke Banks, sons of widow Ruby.

During a stormy night, a man is removed from a channel with head injury and hypothermia. Sara goes to the hospital to process him and takes his backpack to look for an ID. However, she finds an armed bomb inside and the Bomb Squad is activated to take the bomb and detonate it. The CSIs try to find where the man felt in the channel to locate the target and Sara believes he is an Armenian terrorist. Meanwhile, Greg is sued for the imprisonment of the peeper Gus Ellis seven years ago. He was accused of raping and murdering the college student Claire Gibson based on his blood on a crowbar close to the victim. Defense Criminalist Jennifer Rhodes accuses Greg of planting evidence and now she will carry her independent investigation of the evidences. Russell assigns Finn to assist Jennifer in the review.

Zach Fisk's corpse is found inside a hamster ball, beaten to death. Shortly after, his female SM playmate Melodie Davis's corpse is delivered in a box addressed to him, asphyxiated without abuse. Meanwhile Morgan allows swing shift CSI Dawn Banks to join the investigation of serial rapes, only to go missing after gathering DNA of her mischievous, somewhat estranged teenage son Tyler, who has a drug problem linking him to the case's hot-spot. Prime suspect Jared Wallace, son of lawyer Ken, is cleared, yet his DNA proves crucial.

Victims include a couple who invited a homeless man and a model pupil who called a science teacher for help. All suspects and survivors hint at not being themselves, but that theory is only explored fully after the team concludes the site is the only known link and Hodges attacks Henry during another forensic search.

Car trouble forces the CSI girls, en route to a spa, to spend the night in a desert town's only bar. Finaly eagerly leaves to flirt with hunky mechanic Darryl Walsh, but turns down full intimacy, he pulls a knife to force her, she stabs him in the ensuing struggle. Sheriff Gardner reluctantly allows forensic assistance from Nick and Greg and HQ backup in the investigation, which shows that Walsh's garage is the center of drug business and serial drug rape murders, his local accomplices prove dangerous.

The team finds he switches places, barely noticed, with host Ryan Bonham, whose pre-teen son Blake is the only witness of an intruder. She escaped in the confusion over thefts aboard, pursued by one previously most flirtatious victim as likely suspect. She was however also on the run for her violent New Yoek husband, in a double-secret arrangement with her high-school lover, who posed as a non-existent 'specialist' private detective.

The reporter John Merchiston meets a woman that delivers him a flash drive in the name of Suvari. However, someone is spying them with a sophisticated apparatus. He goes to the parking garage and soon his car leaves the building. He is chased by the police, speed up, loses control, hits a pole and explodes. The CSIs cannot identify the burned body. Finn tells Russell that she had had an affair with John, and he was investigating government spying. John's attorney, Jill McDermott, requests his body for the funeral. When Russell goes to the parking garage, he is surprised by John that explains that the dead body is his assistant Brian Freeman. Soon Russell takes John to Finn's apartment, and they learn that the spying program Jericho is being used by the powerful General Lansdale. He also delivers the flash drive to Russell to check the encrypted content. But out of the blue, the FBI agents arrest the trio, and they learn that someone powerful is manipulating the situation.

Dr, Robbins is attending the wake of Ana Ortiz, the daughter of his friend Gabriel. He asks Dr. Robbins to go to Arquero, Mexico, to perform the autopsy of his daughter since the coroner has not released her body to come to Las Vegas and believes she died of OD. However, Ana did not use drugs. Dr. Robbins travels with Nick and has the support of the Mexican Federal Agent Javier Silva. Soon they find that the town is dominated by the Cartel. The coroner Dr. Rafael Blanco does not welcome them and is indeed unhappy to see them in his morgue. Soon they learn that Ana's body was found near four dead bodies from a massacre of the Cartel, and Nick asks Javier to investigate the crime scene. Meanwhile, Sara and Greg investigate the murder of a couple killed with gunshots to their heads and embedded in concrete in the garage of a house. Soon they find that both killings are related and done in Las Vegas.

Debbie Logan (16)'s corpse was dumped after her skull was smashed. Autopsy also suggests rape. Her father, reverend Jim, and mother, seem strangely oblivious of her life, as she spent her last night in madame Suzanne's high-end brothel. Its attendance list includes county councilman Roger Ridley and two of Debbie's relatives, neither of whose presence is what it seems.

Gifted former chess-player Greg soon realizes seemingly unrelated murders refer, by means and position, to chess pieces and moves. That applies also to previous murders in cities where Jenny Carroll's traveling chess demonstration tournament, presently in Vegas, came before. Greg's former mentor points out the serial killer has been repeating the moves of tournament star Karl Schrute against once national champion Troy Parker, who left public life after that very humiliating defeat. Ex-con chess-obsessed Troy-fan Lee Crosby not only has an alibi, the next murders and diverting moves require rethinking the plot.

Fatally struck Marcie Cody's corpse is found near the rented stretch limo hired from Marty 'The Cat' Kirch by nostalgic would be-rock band Kiss as part of a star experience package, including Kiss rock star Gene Simmons. Angela 'Tangerine' Ward, the other girl hired as 'groupie' by the wealthy professionals, is missing, but has a criminal record and fitting partner, who turns up murdered. The team finds possibly motives among band members as well as star experience cast.

Only ex-con handyman Doug Adamson is found, unconscious after hurting his head in a fall, in the blood-drenched home of respected citizen Dwight Connor, his wife Claire, their son Ethan and daughter Heather, whom nobody saw for a month. Doug swears he was hired for chores, ignores where the family went and sold some belongings 'for his due payment'. The team soon finds that Dwight was involved in corporate fraud, Ethan in drugs, the marriage shaky, and in the chase for evidence, corpses keep cropping up at several sites.

While teenager Mark Powell, who seems consumed by hatred for the police, takes hostages, including D.B. Russel, a beat-cop is fatally shot. The team works out the surprisingly interlinked lives of those dramatis personae.

Greg's web research kicks off forensic links to a pseudo-cannibalistic fetish scene, including fired endoscope surgeon turned snuff cameraman Dennis Hagel and Gary Korlov's macabre dinner club. More victims follow.

FBI cyber crime specialist Avery Ryan is brought in to help CSI investigate the case of a casino owner's wife's murder on fetish scene snuff video. They soon discover there are two relevant angles to the case, requiring the hunt of two expert killers, one serial, one professional, who pose formidable traps. Conrad Ecklie meanwhile doubts whether to stand for sheriff again.

Desert town sheriff Combs shows the CSi team the corpse of a man raised there, who returned after founding a business in Texas to hunt for the lost loot of a bank robbery 25 years ago. As a kid, he and a local mate survived finding the cash hidden in 'their' play shed, where one of the two robbers bled to death. The third boy went missing, presumed killed and dumped in Lake Mead, but was never found. CSI teams up with local ex-cop Sam Bishop, who never ceased documenting and studying the case. Together, they find the site where the missing boy was buried and the recent murder weapon, a priceless antique Persian stone statue. A partial fingerprint of a rare type helps reconstruct the gruesome succession of crimes.
