Compulsion

Wed, Sep 28, 200542 mins

Jason Gideon's FBI profile team is called to an Arizona College campus where students and teachers fall victim to arson. However the pyromaniac profile doesn't quite apply: the culprit didn't make sure (s)he could enjoy the crimes by observing the victims perishing. Dr. Spencer Reid finds a better way to fit the facts with a rarer serial killer logic: a 'religious' compulsion, in this case both triggered and given form by a boundless obsession with the number three- if this theory holds true a third, possibly triple, arson is at hand...

Won't Get Fooled Again

Wed, Oct 5, 200543 mins

The FBI profiling team is called to Florida where a seres of efficient bombs killed every single target; this rules out a terrorist or politically motivated bomber. The bombs themselves carry the signature of Adrian Bale, a master-bomber who was jailed after taking out six FBI agents in Boston, who even pushed the next button when he knew it would only worsen his sentence. Then there's a lead to an alternative scenario: master forger David Walker, who had to commit a single murder to keep out of jail but covers it up by playing the Bale copycat. Or is there a link between these two suspects, perhaps via a Internet forum which contains suspicious messages?

Plain Sight

Wed, Oct 12, 200542 mins

The team profiles the Tommy Killer, who rapes and murders women forced to watch him in upper class houses, where he destroys status symbols. As soon as the press notices that detail, he makes a habit of quoting 17th century poetic ballads on Death conversing with its victims. They are confident enough about their profile of a resentful, skilled white middle class man to rule out a less well-organized black attacker but arrest the suspect to make Tommy manifest himself, alas by an untraceable phone call- which precisely provides a crucial clue.

Broken Mirror

42 mins

In New Haven, Connecticut, Trish Davenport has been kidnapped, her long term boyfriend, Jordan, is deceased at the abduction site. The BAU are called in because of the time sensitivity of the case and because of Trish's father, Evan Davenport. Evan, a high profile lawyer, has in the past received multiple death threats because of his work, having had FBI protective services for years. When Trish turned eighteen, she refused the protective service. The BAU learn that Trish is an identical twin, who has what many would consider a typical twin connection with her sister. During the initial ransom telephone call, the unsub has an unusual request, which leads to the BAU ultimately figuring out the unsub's motivations. With this knowledge, Gideon in turn uses an unusual tactic to draw out further information about who the unsub is. Despite getting some important information about the unsub, Gideon and the team don't like what it infers as it places a major obstacle in their work.

L.D.S.K.

42 mins

Contrary to popular belief among many of the BAU, Reid does not know everything. He does not know how to shoot very well as he has just failed his latest firearms qualification. His lack of shooting skill is in marked contrast to the man the BAU are tracking and who the FBI coin a L.D.S.K.: long distance serial killer. In Des Plaines, Illinois, an expert marksman, unseen and in various seemingly unconnected locations during the middle of the day, has been shooting multiple people from a long distance. The target is always shot in the abdomen, all but one of the victims thus far having survived. The BAU determine that the marksman is purposeful in where he shoots his victims. Beyond a basic profile, they know that he has had specialized gun and shooting training. This means that he was, or still is, a police officer, news that does not sit well with the Des Plaines Police Department who are assisting on the case. Gideon comes up with a theory on the middle of the day shooting times. However, it isn't until Garcia can come up with a geographical profile that the BAU can get closer to finding their man.

The Fox

42 mins

Married Maryland couple Chris and Allison Crawford and their two children, Sam and Emily, are found dead in their home in what looks to be a murder-suicide. The BAU know that it isn't as another area family, the Millers - also a mother, father, son and daughter - were found dead in their home one month earlier in what was originally deemed a murder-suicide. The other connections between the two sets of deaths are that the families were found five days after the start of what was supposed to be a family vacation. Both sets of vacations were never taken, yet the bodies were found less than a day postmortem. The first suspect is Eric Miller, the deceased Reese Miller's ex-husband and the biological father of the two deceased Miller children. The BAU try to find a connection between the two families and a possible connection between Eric Miller and the Crawfords. Also, they may have some substantial leads when they discover a secondary cell phone account under Allison Crawford's name, and a plethora of paintings by the deceased children.

In Baltimore, Maryland, retired couple William and Helen DeMarco are found murdered in their home, a young white male was seen fleeing from the scene of the crime. Hidden throughout the neighborhood, they later find the dismembered body parts of that third victim, Freddy Condore, a low level mobster and nephew of the deceased. The case becomes a turf war in the FBI between Organized Crime and the BAU, who decide to continue to investigate regardless. They believe the killer is a sadist who has killed upward of one hundred men. In going through Condore's history, the team quickly find the name Jimmy Baker, a self-professed rehabilitated ex-con whose mug shot looks remarkably similar to that of the suspect fleeing the murder scene, but whose background raises some red flags amongst the team. When they discover Baker's true identity, the BAU also understand Organized Crime's interest in the case. They need to work together not only to solve the murders but locate Baker who has gone missing.

The BAU are called to work on the case of Teddy Bryar, a former physicist and now delusional psychotic, who has hijacked an El Paso to Dallas train. Bryar killed a security guard in the initial gunfire. The BAU rush to the scene when they learn that one of the hostages is Elle, who was on a business trip alone. Teddy, egged on by his "delusion" named Leo, is aware that Elle is an FBI agent from her case file folder. The other hostages on that specific car are Dr. Linda Deaton (Teddy's doctor, who was heading to a conference on psychosis where Teddy was supposed to be a success case study); Elaine Curtis (a young single pregnant woman who was heading to get an abortion); Josh Patel (a young man with a history of drinking and driving and who had been disowned by his family for doing so); and Harold Anderson (an armed but unbalanced and meek man who was heading to shoot his estranged wife). Teddy will not negotiate with anyone except those he deems to be the "higher authority". The BAU have to learn what Teddy's delusions are and who or what the higher authority is. And they have to find a way to communicate with a handcuffed Elle who needs to act as the on-board safety net for the other hostages. Blood Hungry

42 mins

Because of a skydiving accident, Gideon is forced to stay in the office while the team is out in the field. While in the office, a seemingly disorganized Gideon invades Garcia's work space which does not sit well with her neat and tidy sensibilities. The BAU are working on a case in a small town in Tennessee where two homicides have occurred in a 48 hours span, the first homicides there in sixty-four years. The two murders are seemingly unrelated beyond happening in the same town. The team focuses on the more brutal second killing, that of Annie Stuart, whose body was eviscerated of her liver, kidney and lungs. Because of the disembowelment, Gideon believes he understands the reasoning behind some circular blood stains at the crime scene. It isn't until another murder occurs that their theory is strengthened. However, it also unfortunately adds the connection of a seven year old boy named Wally Brisbane who has gone missing. The team are working against time in not only having to find the killer before he strikes again but also locating Wally, who, if caught outside overnight, will not survive the exposure to the cold weather.

Riding the Lightning

Wed, Jan 25, 200642 mins

The team investigates the Dawes couple on death row in Florida State Penitentiary for thirteen (or more) murders on young blonde girls in 1985. A dozen girl's bodies were found buried under the sexual psychopath Jacob's garage after the police got an anonymous call. Sarah Jean Dawes (née Mason) 'the Ice Queen' only confessed killing her own two-year old son Riley, Jacob would have ordered her to kill him because he slowed down their flight. Sarah's mother Deb Mason claims she was a normal shy girl util she met Jacob, her late father was a strict soldier but hit his wife. Gideon concludes from a letter to her mother and an interview that Sarah Jean is physically innocent. She just blames herself for failing to stop Jacob and tipped the police herself. Jacob, who clearly craves notoriety, refuses to tell Aaron "Hotch" Hotchner or Jennifer "JJ" Jareau if there are more bodies. When told that Sarah got a stay of execution, Jacob spontaneously offers the location of their son's burial place, a gazebo he built. However the exhumed body turns out to be 14-year old Ashley Farley's. Gideon believes that Riley is still alive, somewhere where Jacob doesn't know. He searches her cell while she is given a last walk, against regulations, and finds a photo, probably Riley 15 years older.

The Keystone Killer murdered seven women in Philadelphia over a two year period, he communicating with the media through clues to murder details hidden in word search puzzles. Eighteen years ago, the murders just stopped. Ryan believes the Keystone Killer is still loose and perhaps active. Ryan currently lives in Philadelphia, he who is still working on the case unofficially. While on a tour stop in Washington, D.C., one at which Gideon attends, the Keystone Killer is also there, he who leaves a message for Ryan including two drivers licenses, one of his last known victim, and the other of another woman named Carla Bromwell, who had since been found dead. Bromwell's death is atypical to the other seven in many ways, the BAU thinking that the Keystone Killer may be devolving as a killer. Ryan inserts himself into the case. The BAU welcome his knowledge on it, but find that he is less than a congenial colleague. But things become even more personal for Ryan as the Keystone Killer seems to be focusing his messages specifically to his old tracker.

The Tribe

Wed, Mar 8, 200642 mins

Aaron 'Hotch' gets a visit from his brother Sean, who intends to abandon the plan to study law, like their late dad and Aaron. Five students aged 19 are found horribly murdered in a vacant house in Terra Mesa, New Mexico, unbound, skinned alive, one impaled alive: traditional Indian torture methods. The team quickly suspects it must be the collective work of a 'pack'. First they consider the local reservation policeman Benjamin Blackwood's son John, a teacher noted for Indian activism. His tracker skills on the murder site concludes it was not the work of real Indians, as no tribe practiced all these methods, he agrees to act as a consultant. As the killers were probably not Indian but wanted it to appear so, next suspects are the heavily armed ADU. They were founded by local businessman Roy Minton, mainly recruiting from construction, to fight the Indian land claims. A fingerprint belongs to a sixth student, Ingrid Greisen. Her parents say they didn't even know she was missing as she lived totally apart. After father Peter Greisen follows the team's advice to call for Ingrid's release on TV, the kidnappers call. They are two ex-cons, who surrender and show the van she's in, after a promise nothing is told to the father. He would have paid them to kidnap his daughter without hurting her; they know nothing about the murders. Ingrid stopped following courses over a year ago - Hotch finds Peter hired a de-programmer and concludes Ingrid had to be kidnapped because she was in a cult sect. The hunt for the cult is on after Ingrid tells what she learned inside about the self-proclaimed 'Apaches' lead by 'Grandfather'.

A Real Rain

Wed, Mar 22, 200642 mins

In New York a hooded serial killer blindfolds and shoots, then stabs victims which seem to have nothing in common. The profiling team concludes that the cab driver could only be killed after thorough preparation. His latest attack is a priest, accused but cleared in court of child abuse. After this incident he lets a female witness escape to a church, suggesting that the setting is essential to his ritual. It turns out all the victims were acquitted or got the charges dropped. The killer turns out to be a vigilante who stabs his guilty victims in a 'poetically just' organ, probably continuing on the theme of a first crime against a perpetrator whose victim he once was. Gideon thinks it may be a cop, but can't scare off the NYPD from collaborating, and indeed the next victim is a double cop-killer. All victims have been on trial in one single court-house. Crime newspaper reporter Lance Wagner gets incredibly precise scoops every time. After shooting in panic an undercover cop in the park, his hooded killer Will Sykes turns himself in, but isn't the killer.

Machismo

Wed, Apr 12, 200642 mins

In Allende del Sol, a Mexican factory and tourist town, the papers write about a serial killer. The government wants that theory squashed by the BAU profilers after the twelfth rape-murder in two years. The latest victim was 62-year old Lupe Trejo, whose son, Miguel, was arrested as a suspect. Gideon knows from a seminar the local police captain, Victor Navarro, who claims Mexican cultural emphasis on family and machismo won't permit Gideon's profiling method to work there. The Trejo murder site shows Gideon that Lupe discovered her son Miguel is a closet homosexual, unspeakable in the macho town. To save Miguel from being killed in prison, his sister Rosa claims Miguel's boyfriend, Roberto Gonzalez, was outside the house and noticed a social worker, either female or a cross-dresser. Atypically, the next victim, Isabella Santiago, is stabbed to death the following day. The team believes it's a rapist who became impotent, probably after being ridiculed by Milagros Villanueva a month before the first murder. There is a fitting suspect, and a link with a series of rapes.

The wounds show more then one torturer. Summers was working with Aaliyah Nadir, who turned informant after physical abuse by her husband Hassan, a Saudi diplomat who secretly finances terrorist organizations, and after a staged 'fatal' car accident lived with young son Faris and daughter Dalia in the US. Now Hassan is looking for them. CIA executive Bruno Hawks welcomes the BAU team at Langley, promising full cooperation, but the traitor probably works there too.
