Arthur faces being barred from the café for telling fortunes but, after Michael introduces him to his agent Philippa and her partner Monica, the women mistakenly believe Arthur is a spiritualist and ask him to exorcise their supposedly haunted house. So, he enlists his friends to simulate a haunting which they film. Unfortunately they also get drunk on crème de menth and fall asleep, after wrecking the house.

Arthur the Hat

When Michael is called for jury service Arthur decides to go along to support him with other café customers. However ex-con John the Hat's criminal associates mistake Arthur for a powerful gangster, which is fine for Bulent when they try to extort protection money from him but less so for Michael when CCTV appears to show Arthur offering him a bribe. However both are exonerated when Arthur brings to justice the villains and a corrupt judge, accidentally of course.

Untrue Detective

Arthur is playing a chief inspector in a murder mystery evening when he gets knocked down by a bus. Bystanders seeing his warrant card believe he is a real policeman and get him to investigate a possible murder case. The café regulars assume that his actions are due to concussion but in fact he is disproving their view that he cannot act.

The Soupover

Anxious to avoid an audience participation show with Sinem Michael agrees to partake in a soup-over, where Arthur and his friends bring soup and don pyjamas for an afternoon at Arthur's house. This also involves watching an old horse race on a video loop and a brain-storming session for ridiculous new inventions so that before long Michael is regretting his decision and only too happy to accompany Sinem to the performance.

The Three Wishes

Granted three wishes, Arthur wastes two but for the third gets Michael to drive him to Sheffield to meet up again with ex-band member John Shuttleworth to discover why their group split up. He soon finds the answer - disagreement over which vegetable to celebrate in song. After Michael loses all his money Arthur tries to win it back at pool- but fails .However returning home they find John has turned up for a band reunion.

The Lucky Streak

Seeing a sign advertising Free Biscuits Arthur goes into a building and before long finds he has joined the Church of Scientology. He believes this has brought him luck when he gets work in a series of advertisements, finds money in the street and wins the café in a poker game. It needs Michael to bring him down to earth to make Arthur realize that it was greed, not religion, that gave him his lucky streak.

Safari Park

Michael feels aggrieved that Arthur has again forgotten his birthday, unaware that his friend has organized a surprise trip to a safari park for him and other café patrons. Predictably the cheap car breaks down in the rain with lions roaming nearby but fortunately Arthur's rudimentary mechanical skill saves the day and Michael learns just how much everybody appreciates him, returning him home in time for his date with Sinem - after a thoroughly nerve-shattering day out.
