Brent and Wanda help Lacey achieve her dream of skydiving by working through her fears - though Wanda seems more excited about the possibility of pushing Lacey out of the plane. The cell phone tower near Dog River stops working and it's Hank to the rescue. He becomes the town message boy - but can people really trust him with their private information? Oscar and Emma go to war with Karen and Davis about their desire to plant potatoes on town land where the soil is best. Things get really heated when the cops impound the Leroys' rototiller.

When Wanda, Lacey, and Karen are able to fix The Ruby's broken toaster, their confidence soars. They turn their attention to The Ruby's vintage milkshake machine, but it's an heirloom Lacey might regret messing with. Meanwhile, Emma gets annoyed that everyone loves Oscar's impression of her; when she tries to turn the tables, it falls flat. Her frustration grows when Brent steps in as her impression coach. Davis finds out Hank has a valuable action figure at home and tries to influence him to let it go, while concealing his true motives.

When Oscar spots a venomous cobra in his backyard, he's put on his guard, though everyone else thinks he's crying "snake" - especially Emma, who has a little fun with his paranoia. Hank discovers a bird's nest on the roof between Corner Gas and The Ruby and sets up a camera so everyone in town can watch the baby birds hatch. They're in for a surprise when the eggs are not what they seem. Karen and Davis are excited to do some actual police work - there's an escaped convict on the loose and Karen can't wait to finally be involved in some bona-fide crime-fighting.

They have a secret that Lacey's desperate to keep, except Hank's not quite sure what she's talking about.

Meanwhile, Emma and Hank are on a mission to find Oscar's prize quarter after they accidentally put it into circulation.

When Dog River inherits a town bell, the citizens fight over who gets to ring it, causing a literal cacophony. To solve this problem, Hank is given the task of ringing the bell every hour, on the hour - something he finds surprisingly difficult. After trying French Press coffee at home, Oscar and Emma become addicted to it and can no longer stand the swill Lacey's pouring at The Ruby. But when their pretensions start brewing discord in the diner, Lacey decides to put their snobbery to the test. Meanwhile, in Corner Gas, Brent is puzzled by some erratic behaviour Wanda's exhibiting and tries to get to the root of it, revealing a surprise from her past.

Emma becomes obsessed with the idea of relaxing on a swing after watching "The Andy Griffith Show" and orders one online. To satiate Oscar's need to 'build' the swing, she lets him assemble it, but is annoyed when her relaxation is interrupted by Oscar's need to show off his construction project. Karen and Davis attempt to get to the root of Karen's newly violent and uncontrollable reactions to Hank, while Brent, Wanda and Lacey butt heads when Wanda's new aromatherapy diffuser has a surprising impact on life at Corner Gas.

It's the Dog River Corn Festival and Hank is upset he's been replaced by Wanda as the Chief Corn Maze Designer. Wanda's excited, however, because she's designed a maze so complex, she'll definitely be able to get into Maze Masters - an exclusive club for primo puzzlers. Too bad the judge sent to evaluate her seems difficult to impress. Lacey and Brent are manning a fundraising booth selling popcorn and can't seem to agree on price or flavour choices, but a weird flavour combination Brent invents has people hungry for more. Oscar and Emma are paired up with Davis to help people park their cars, but Davis's enthusiasm for the job sparks a competition.

The local mini putt course has shut down and a disappointed Hank and Wanda decide to use putters and balls Hank salvaged to settle a bet in Corner Gas. Meanwhile, Lacey asks Emma if she can cover for her in The Ruby, but an injury has Brent taking orders in the diner while Emma mans the till for Brent. While Fitzy is out of town, he recruits Karen to play a popular phone game that has her walking the streets of Dog River, battling other players and collecting jewels. But when an unexpected rival arises, Karen's competitive streak comes out.

When Oscar discovers Emma's secured herself a primo burial plot, he's upset to think about his lonely eternal resting place. With Davis' help, he decides to find a place they can be together forever. Meanwhile, Lacey's lack of storage has her and Hank convincing Brent to renovate their shared building. At first, Brent's reluctant, until he's convinced by all the fun possibilities his future office could hold. Wanda's obsession with a new productivity app has her encouraging an expensive expansion. With a special guest appearance by actor Kim Coates.

It's Halloween in Dog River and Brent, Lacey, Wanda, and Hank all plan to watch scary movies at Brent's place., but their party is interrupted by some spooky, ghoulish sounds. Determined to uncover the truth, they investigate and the bloody history of Brent's house comes to light. Meanwhile, Oscar and Emma batten down the hatches when they realize angry teens might target them for Halloween pranks. When the action starts, they call in Karen and Davis to help them protect their home from an unseen force of teenage evil.

When The Ruby cafe suffers serious damage after a fire in the kitchen, Brent hopes Lacey's insurance will cover the cost quickly so that she can rebuild and re-open as soon as possible, but the situation forces her to confess to Brent that she isn't sure she wants to - and in fact, isn't sure she's going to remain in Dog River. Brent has to decide whether to convince her to stay, or do the right thing and let her make up her own mind unencumbered. But can he do that without knuckling under and spilling his true feelings for her? Meanwhile, unsure of what the future holds, the other characters each project where they see themselves in the years ahead - each prognostication more ridiculous than the other. Featuring special guest Ryan Reynolds.
