Episode 1
Het weerzien
When John discovers important evidence that someone is planning an attack on an important politician from Nigeria, Obadiya Zuberi, he suspects one of his former commando brothers. His best friend Simon is upset that John has ordered him to protect Obadiya, when they both have a dark past with him. A secret mission that went terribly wrong.
Episode 2
Oog om oog
Devastated by the death of his best friend, John sets out to find out what actually happened. He is suspended from his job in security. Isabella has him picked up and interrogates him. He doesn't talk, but he blames her for being the cause of Simon's death. While everything seems to be going against him, John has to confront his past and talk to that one person who might know something about his death: Obadiya. The former members of John's platoon suspect Obadiya of being behind Simon's murder and want to avenge him.
Episode 3
Tand om tand
Tension rises at Simon's funeral. Obadiya wants to make a deal with John. It's better for both if they shut up. Working with the detectives investigating Simon's death, Isabella discovers that his killer is likely one of the members of the old platoon. She shares this information with John, hoping that he will then want to work with her. Meanwhile, the former commandos are working together again to interrogate Obadiya, with dire consequences.
Episode 4
De dag van de waarheid
His former boss Cor Kramer invites John to return to the military as he is in the best position to unravel the deadly intrigues. He starts his first working day back at the Korps Commandotroep and becomes further estranged from his wife Marte, who is against it. Isabella firmly interrogates the former platoon members in an attempt to get to the truth. When Mark, who suffers from severe PTSD, breaks up just before his interrogation, John manages to hide him from Isabella.
Episode 5
Het leven is een hoer
Always the toughest of the old platoon members, Kenneth also suffers from PTSD, but keeps it hidden from everyone. He is a sex addict, drinks too much, and ends up in a violent confrontation with a pimp. John discovers that the telescope he found in the sniper's lair from where Simon had been shot was Kenneth's. John does not share any emotions with his family and what happened negatively affects his daughter. So Marte takes Sophie and leaves him. Isabella continues her search for the truth.
Episode 6
Semper Fokking Fi
John chases Kenneth, who he suspects is Simon's murderer. Kenneth battles his addictions and goes into group therapy. Isabella tries to get Kenneth to confess and tell him the whole story of what happened in Nigeria by telling him it's the only way for him to ever get 'clean'. Kenneth tells former platoon members Mo and Berend that he is considering talking. Mo - who is trying to make a career in the army - and Berend manage to change his mind: for now. Marte meets John, but only does so because of Sophie. When Sophie has one of her hysterical fits, Marte is the only one who can calm her down.
Episode 7
De weg naar rust en vrede
John tells Marte that everything has been resolved and that they can move on with their lives. John suggests horse therapy for Sophie. But Sophie falls off her horse and has to go to hospital. Isabella's investigation is under threat: priorities within Europol are changing. She decides to go on alone and tries to get Berend to talk. But Berend does not play the game. Mo's younger brother Ibri has got himself into trouble with some criminals. He is accused of stealing a car at work. Mo wants to solve it. Kenneth is still mentally uneasy. He agrees to meet Isabella, to confess. When Kenneth doesn't show up, Isabella decides to visit him at home.
Episode 8
Victim controlled
Isabella visits John in the hospital, where he is with Sophie and Marte. She tells him that Kenneth was murdered. Marte gives John an alibi for the murder. John receives an anonymous video of someone placing a bomb under the sleeping Sophie's hospital bed. Sophie cannot get out of bed or the bomb will explode, triggered by her weight. The explosives department arrives at the hospital. Finally John manages to dismantle the bomb, with the help of Berend. Mo has disappeared from nowhere. The suspicion that Mo is responsible for the murders of Kenneth and Simon is growing. In addition, he was the platoon's explosives expert.
Episode 9
Gods toorn is a bitch
John, Marte and Sophie have to stay on the army base for their own safety. Even though John should actually stay there because of Sophie, he leaves to look for Mo. When John can't find Mo, he visits Mo's little brother Ibri, who tells him that Mo is now with some petty criminals to solve things. John helps Mo out of an awkward situation during a big fight, and realizes that Mo cannot be the one who planted the bomb. Isabella studies the evidence and the tapes of the interviews about Simon's murder. She discovers that the alibi of one of the commands is incorrect and goes to talk to him.
Episode 10
Happy ending
John and Mo arrive at Berend's house. Berend is freaking out completely: he has tied up Isabella, shoots Mo and points his gun at John.
