Coventry: All In One

48 mins

The four contestants, all from Coventry, are: pub manager James Paley, who believes being an entertaining host is the most important aspect of holding a dinner party; computer service engineer 'Jon Bramley', who is highly critical and vocal when it comes to food; Marie Hughes-Price, a confident person especially about her cooking; and scientist and writer Vera Phillips Griffith, who sees cooking as an extension of her science background. James is the first to host. He tries a high risk strategy of offering one of two items for each course. His menu consists of: crab & red pepper soup or black pudding & apple tower as the starter, fillet steak in a port sauce or lemon sole in a white wine sauce as the main course, and bread & butter pudding or trio of chocolate mousse as the dessert. He hopes his disasters in the kitchen don't translate to what goes out into the dining room. The second host is Vera, whose menu consists of: grilled vegetable salad as the starter, roast leg of lamb as the main course, and warm tarte tatin for dessert. Beyond the meal and Vera's seeming obsession with sex, two of the contestants have an unspoken battle as *the* alpha person among the group. Third host Jon's menu consists of: prawn and coriander soup as the starter, chicken with lime as the main course, and lemon posset for dessert. Jon stresses in the kitchen about all of his courses as well as one of his guests. The last host is Marie, whose menu consists of: smoked haddock fish cakes with a poached egg as the starter, ballottine of chicken as the main course, and meringue with elderflower ice cream or lemon syllabub for dessert. Something doesn't go down well with James, but it comes back up a bit easier. Vera has a surprise for Marie before she makes the announcement of the winner of the £1,000.

Bournemouth: All In One

48 mins

The four contestants, all from Bournemouth, are: property sales executive and amateur violinist Sonia Peck, who considers herself the perfect dinner party guest as she will never allow a dead silence in conversation; patisserie owner Claudette Brady, who hates working for men; property developer James Dean, a recent divorcé who is looking forward to moving on with his life; and café owner Clive Page, a fashionista and self-professed beauty expert. Claudette is the first to host. Her menu consists of: New England seafood chowder and red pepper soup as the starters, Stilton stuffed chicken breasts as the main course, and brioche bread pudding and citron tart as the desserts. Because of Claudette's profession, the guests have high hopes for her desserts in particular. She hopes that the vast quantity of alcohol she serves will mask the disaster she experienced in the kitchen. The second host is Sonia, whose menu consists of: pan-fried breaded lemon sole as the starter, griddled fillet steak as the main course, and lemon yogurt cheesecake for dessert. When the conversation steers away from personal relationships to dead silences, Sonia has a plan to keep the silence to a minimum while she's in the kitchen. Third host James' menu consists of: tian of crab, avocado and prawn as the starter, seafood stew as the main course, and chocolate pudding for dessert. Beyond some disagreeable ingredients in the stew, the guests discuss the conduct of one of the foursome. The last host is Clive, whose menu consists of: roasted tomato and garlic soup as the starter (which surprises his guests as Clive has mentioned throughout the week how much he detests garlic), chicken pie as the main course, and rich chocolate pots for dessert. He is most concerned not about the food but the way he looks, as he has a hairdressing and eyebrow waxing appointment during the day. The one whose conduct was in question the previous evening apologizes. At the end of the evening, the four discuss their possible future together before Clive makes the announcement of the winner of the £1,000.

Gwent: All In One

48 mins

The four contestants, all from Newport, Wales, are: hairdresser Sam Mallet, a party girl; drinks salesman Nick Payne, a rugby aficionado who plays hard and plays to win; Jan Taylor, a grandmother who likes to stay busy; and former journalist Tony Wardle, a vegan who wants to convert the world to his way of eating. Nick is the first to host. His menu consists of: butternut squash and prawn risotto (basil mushrooms for vegan Tony) as the starter, lemon sole (broccoli, tofu and cashew stir fry for vegan Tony) as the main course, and floating islands (vegan pancakes with chocolate sauce for Tony) as the dessert. One personality dominates the evening. The second host is vegan Tony, whose menu consists of: avocado, smoked tofu and sesame as the starter, asparagus and pea risotto as the main course, and vegan chocolate mousse for dessert. Before arriving, the diners are unsure of eating a vegan meal. At dinner, one guest is close to being sick, not once but twice, each for different reasons. And another feels ganged upon. Third host Sam's menu consists of: vegan stuffed peppers as the starter, pork fillets with pears and shallots (apple and sweet potato casserole for Tony) as the main course, and raspberry sorbet and vanilla ice cream (a vegan ice cream for Tony) for dessert. Sam has been the pickiest eater thus far and her menu is not typically what she would eat. Beyond her guests' assessment, will Sam herself like it? The last host is Jan, whose menu consists of: ezogelin with clay pot loaf bread (vegan rolls for Tony) as the starter, steak in ale pie (onion bhajis and vegetable pilau for Tony) as the main course, and treacle toffee cheesecake (nutty rhubarb crumble for Tony) for dessert. The guests remark that Jan is much less loud than normal, which is purely because of her need to be in the kitchen. She'll see if that affects how they score her as Jan makes the announcement of the winner of the £1,000.

Oxfordshire: All In One

48 mins

The four contestants, all from Oxford, are: food writer Juliet Harbutt, a Kiwi who doesn't like people who won't try unfamiliar food; shop owner Greg Miller, a South African who wants his food to be interesting; banker and semi-professional footballer Tom Smith, who believes presentation is as important as taste, which is affected by a self-professed obsessive-compulsive nature; and dance teacher Adish Vadivale, a devout Hindu, specific day-of-the-week vegetarian (for religious reasons) and non-alcohol drinker who admits to being a picky eater. Greg is the first to host. His menu, which reflects what he has been able to eat in South Africa, consists of: smoked snoek (smoked peppers for vegetarian Adish) as the starter, wildebeest (roasted vegetables for Adish) as the main course, and granadilla cream tart (fruit salad for Adish) as the dessert. The guests find the evening a bit underwhelming, considering the menu. The second host is Juliet, whose menu consists of: arbroath smokie pâté as the starter, teriyaki salmon steaks as the main course, and baked Alaska for dessert. She will also serve a selection of English cheeses. This last item places Juliet and Adish at polar extremes. The guests' quiet reactions to her meal make her believe she will come out on the lower end of the scoring scale. Third host Adish's Hindi-inspired menu consists of: vadai & dhokla as the starter, a traditional Indian thali as the main course, and payasam for dessert. The guests react to the fact of no meat and no alcohol. The last host is Tom, whose menu consists of: stuffed Portobello mushrooms as the starter, seared tuna steaks (mustard crusted tofu for vegetarian Adish) as the main course, and banoffee pie (tropical fruit salad for Adish) for dessert. Like Juliet, Tom provides a cheese board. He believes that winning over Adish is the key to winning the week. He'll see if he has indeed done so as Tom makes the announcement of the winner of the £1,000.

Bath: All In One

48 mins

The four contestants, all from Bath, are: town crier Adrian Dando, who is a supporter of what he considers traditional English food, especially of the public house variety; IT manager Simon Goddard Palmer, a sports car collector whose doesn't care if people think him snobbish by his extravagant lifestyle; Kenyan born community worker Sarah Hillman, who will donate her winnings (if she does indeed win) to an orphanage in Kenya; and horse eventer Annie Todd, who is used to finishing first. Sarah is the first to host. Her African based menu consists of: battered zebra and vegetables as canapés, fillet of ostrich as the starter, beef and vegetables in Swahili spices as the main course, and banana fritters with tropical fruit for dessert. Beyond the quality of the food, the guests comment on the African inspired entertainment. The second host is Simon, whose menu consists of: smoked salmon with lemon and chorizo as an entrée, seared scallops with vermicelli and minted pea purée as the starter, roast pheasant as the main course, and calvados granité for dessert. The conversation steers to one of the foursome who seems to be absent for most of the meal. Annie also decides to purposely discuss a controversial topic. Third host Adrian's menu consists of: a selection of canapés, Somerset Stilton and celery soup as the starter, chicken breast in a cider mushroom sauce as the main course, and jam roly poly for dessert. There are two additional guests for the evening, one who is a real guest in disguise, the other uninvited and unwanted. The last host is Annie, whose menu consists of: seared scallops with pancetta risotto as the starter, duck confit as the main course, and chocolate fondant with raspberries for dessert. She doesn't tell her guests, especially Simon with who she's had a friendly feud, of her cooking mishaps during the day, but she hopes her specialty cocktails will lull her guests into relaxation. At the end of the evening, Annie makes the announcement of the winner of the £1,000.

Devon: All In One

48 mins

The four contestants, all from Devon, are: supermarket owner Karen Bretagne, who works hard for what she wants; 'Sarah Corbett', who believes image is everything; pig farmer Deborah Custance-Baker, who doesn't want to be judged by her cover, which are the two extremes of being a farmer but living in a mansion; and IT consultant Darren Frame, who dislikes self-absorbed giggly girls. Karen is the first to host. Her menu consists of: fisherman's delight as the starter, chicken Kiev as the main course, and passion fruit volcano as the dessert. She hopes that the effort and more effort and more effort she puts into the dessert pays off in the end. But at dinner's end, Karen does other things with dessert besides eating it. The second host is Deborah, whose down home menu consists of: pheasant terrine as the starter, apple and cider braised pork sausages (made from her own pigs) as the main course, and damson tart for dessert. The comments about the evening steer as much toward the mansion and Deborah's lifestyle as it does about the meal itself. As she has been relatively reserved up to this point, the diners are not sure what to expect from third host Sarah. Her menu consists of: mushroom and mackerel pâté in a smoked salmon roulade as the starter, roasted guinea fowl as the main course, and either vanilla pannacotta or Irish cream pannacotta for dessert. Besides the food, Sarah makes an admission about herself. She will surprise the others for the last meal based on this admission. The last host is Darren, who has felt like the odd person out thus far amongst the chatty women, but he hopes his male charms will add extra points. His Mexican inspired menu consists of: chili with nachos as the starter, barbecue ribs and chicken fajitas as the main course, and Devonshire sundae surprise for dessert. After a bit of magic and explaining about why he didn't bring any hostess gifts to the other parties, Darren makes the announcement of the winner of the £1,000.
