James is the first to host. He tries a high risk strategy of offering one of two items for each course. His menu consists of: crab & red pepper soup or black pudding & apple tower as the starter, fillet steak in a port sauce or lemon sole in a white wine sauce as the main course, and bread & butter pudding or trio of chocolate mousse as the dessert. He hopes his disasters in the kitchen don't translate to what goes out into the dining room. The second host is Vera, whose menu consists of: grilled vegetable salad as the starter, roast leg of lamb as the main course, and warm tarte tatin for dessert. Beyond the meal and Vera's seeming obsession with sex, two of the contestants have an unspoken battle as *the* alpha person among the group. Claudette is the first to host. Her menu consists of: New England seafood chowder and red pepper soup as the starters, Stilton stuffed chicken breasts as the main course, and brioche bread pudding and citron tart as the desserts. Because of Claudette's profession, the guests have high hopes for her desserts in particular. She hopes that the vast quantity of alcohol she serves will mask the disaster she experienced in the kitchen. The second host is Sonia, whose menu consists of: pan-fried breaded lemon sole as the starter, griddled fillet steak as the main course, and lemon yogurt cheesecake for dessert. When the conversation steers away from personal relationships to dead silences, Sonia has a plan to keep the silence to a minimum while she's in the kitchen. Third host James' menu consists of: tian of crab, avocado and prawn as the starter, seafood stew as the main course, and chocolate pudding for dessert. Beyond some disagreeable ingredients in the stew, the guests discuss the conduct of one of the foursome. The last host is Clive, whose menu consists of: roasted tomato and garlic soup as the starter (which surprises his guests as Clive has mentioned throughout the week how much he detests garlic), chicken pie as the main course, and rich chocolate pots for dessert. The last host is Jan, whose menu consists of: ezogelin with clay pot loaf bread (vegan rolls for Tony) as the starter, steak in ale pie (onion bhajis and vegetable pilau for Tony) as the main course, and treacle toffee cheesecake (nutty rhubarb crumble for Tony) for dessert. The guests remark that Jan is much less loud than normal, which is purely because of her need to be in the kitchen. She'll see if that affects how they score her as Jan makes the announcement of the winner of the £1,000.

Greg is the first to host. His menu, which reflects what he has been able to eat in South Africa, consists of: smoked snoek (smoked peppers for vegetarian Adish) as the starter, wildebeest (roasted vegetables for Adish) as the main course, and granadilla cream tart (fruit salad for Adish) as the dessert. The guests find the evening a bit underwhelming, considering the menu. The second host is Juliet, whose menu consists of: arbroath smokie pâté as the starter, teriyaki salmon steaks as the main course, and baked Alaska for dessert. She will also serve a selection of English cheeses. This last item places Juliet and Adish at polar extremes. The guests' quiet reactions to her meal make her believe she will come out on the lower end of the scoring scale. Third host Adish's Hindi-inspired menu consists of: vadai & dhokla as the starter, a traditional Indian thali as the main course, and payasam for dessert. The guests react to the fact of no meat and no alcohol. The last host is Tom, whose menu consists of: stuffed Portobello mushrooms as the starter, seared tuna steaks (mustard crusted tofu for vegetarian Adish) as the main course, and banoffee pie (tropical fruit salad for Adish) for dessert. Like Juliet, Tom provides a cheese board. He believes that winning over Adish is the key to winning the week. Her African based menu consists of: battered zebra and vegetables as canapés, fillet of ostrich as the starter, beef and vegetables in Swahili spices as the main course, and banana fritters with tropical fruit for dessert. Beyond the quality of the food, the guests comment on the African inspired entertainment. The second host is Simon, whose menu consists of: smoked salmon with lemon and chorizo as an entrée, seared scallops with vermicelli and minted pea purée as the starter, roast pheasant as the main course, and calvados granité for dessert. The conversation steers to one of the foursome who seems to be absent for most of the meal. Annie also decides to purposely discuss a controversial topic. Third host Adrian's menu consists of: a selection of canapés, Somerset Stilton and celery soup as the starter, chicken breast in a cider mushroom sauce as the main course, and jam roly poly for dessert. There are two additional guests for the evening, one who is a real guest in disguise, the other uninvited and unwanted. Karen is the first to host. Her menu consists of: fisherman's delight as the starter, chicken Kiev as the main course, and passion fruit volcano as the dessert. She hopes that the effort and more effort and more effort she puts into the dessert pays off in the end. But at dinner's end, Karen does other things with dessert besides eating it. The second host is Deborah, whose down home menu consists of: pheasant terrine as the starter, apple and cider braised pork sausages (made from her own pigs) as the main course, and damson tart for dessert. The comments about the evening steer as much toward the mansion and Deborah's lifestyle as it does about the meal itself. As she has been relatively reserved up to this point, the diners are not sure what to expect from third host Sarah. Her menu consists of: mushroom and mackerel pâté in a smoked salmon roulade as the starter, roasted guinea fowl as the main course, and either vanilla pannacotta or Irish cream pannacotta for dessert. Besides the food, Sarah makes an admission about herself. She will surprise the others for the last meal based on this admission. The last host is Darren, who has felt like the odd person out thus far amongst the chatty women, but he hopes his male charms will add extra points. His Mexican inspired menu consists of: chili with nachos as the starter, barbecue ribs and chicken fajitas as the main course, and Devonshire sundae surprise for dessert. After a bit of magic and explaining about why he didn't bring any hostess gifts to the other parties, Darren makes the announcement of the winner of the £1,000.

Helen is the first to host. Her menu consists of: Serrano and prosciutto ham with fresh figs as the starter, salmon en papillote as the main course, and banoffee mess for dessert. Helen's hosting reflects her high energy personality. The second host is Tony, whose menu consists of: Thai beef salad as the starter, sea bass with lemon grass risotto as the main course, and Tony's triple Don chocolate trifle for dessert. The guests remark at how surprised they are by his cooking skills, and the women gush about other aspects. Third host Fred's menu consists of: steak tartar as the entrée, pan fried scallops with celeriac purée and pancetta dust as the starter, Chateaubriand with horseradish mash as the main course, and chocolate bombe for dessert. He admits some help in the form of personal advice from a celebrity chef. And Sarah is slightly perturbed by something that he served in his dessert. They comment on the fact of four women as the contestants. Amy is the first to host. Her menu consists of: stuffed baby squid on vegetable ribbons as the starter, spicy Thai meatballs on saffron rice with Asian greens as the main course, and luscious Lovett's lemon 'cheesefake' for dessert. Beyond the quality of the food, Amy's house requires some ventilation during the meal. The second host is Danielle, whose menu consists of: beef carpaccio with orange beetroot salad as the starter, mozzarella and chorizo stuff chicken breasts as the main course, and Tony's dark and white chocolate marbled ganache with amaretti for dessert. She has a pre-dinner surprise for her guests. The personality of each of the four starts to add a certain dynamic to the gathering. Third host Eleanor's menu consists of: goat's cheese, basil and caramelized onion tart as the starter, chicken rogan josh with homemade naan as the main course, and toffee and banana cake and a chocolate raspberry cheesecake for dessert. She debates on whether to clear the air with one of her guests. Wendy is the first to host. Her menu consists of: potato and bacon quiche as the starter, pink champagne chicken as the main course, and forget-me-not trifle with raspberries as the dessert. After the dinner, she believes that that was the worst meal she's ever eaten. Will her guests agree? The second host is Andrew, whose menu consists of: scampi beau rivage as the starter, lamb cooked in hay as the main course, and raspberry and white chocolate crème brûlée for dessert. The diners get more of Andrew at the party than they expected or probably wanted. The third host is Sandra. Her menu consists of: mistinguette salad as the starter, bird (pheasant) within a bird (duck) within a bird (turkey) as the main course, and raspberry almond charlotte russe for dessert. The main course has a profound effect on one for the guests. And all have had enough of one of their counterparts, who feels like the outsider amongst the group. The last host is John. His menu consists of: Coquilles St. John as the starter, rack of lamb as the main course, and raspberry (again) scrum down for dessert. The issue of the triple bird from the previous night takes flight again, and John and Andrew have a tête-à-tête about the source of the food before John makes the announcement of the winner of the £1,000.

The four contestants, all from Plymouth, are: Natalie Jaspers, a larger than life woman who believes everything should be made from scratch; Christian charity project worker David Martin, who describes himself as a big Labrador puppy; Sharron Robbie, a stickler for detail who knows she knows how to host dinner parties; and Carla Wisdom Grey, a party girl who likes to stir up trouble between others. Natalie is the first to host. Her menu, the items from which which will all be made from scratch, consists of: coarse country pâté as the starter, hot chicken mousse as the main course, and warm Black Forest pudding as the dessert. Beyond the food, the foursome quickly come to realization that David, the other three who believe he made a faux pas at the dinner table, will have to be more engaging if he is to keep up with the three tall, voluptuous and loud women. There is obvious tension specifically between David and Sharron. The second host is Carla, whose menu consists of: crab cakes as the starter, yum yum chicken as the main course, and passion fruit sorbet for dessert. The food becomes secondary to the continued antagonistic sparring between David and Sharron, who takes every opportunity to belittle the sole male. Third host David's menu consists of: mushrooms on ciabatta in a garlic white wine sauce as the starter, spiced lamb shank as the main course, and chocolate tart for dessert. The women believe he needs to be the perfect host to impress regardless of the food. The food elicits some openly positive comments but will that be reflected in his scores? The last host is Sharron, who has been the most critical thus far, and as such, the others believe she has the pull out all the stops to impress. Her menu consists of: stuffed soupe de crevette as the starter, roast duck breast as the main course, and summer syllabub for dessert. Sharron believes that dinner parties are a performance, and that she will be the star of the week. She'll see if she has indeed taken center stage as Sharron makes the announcement of the winner of the £1,000.

The four contestants, all from Swindon, are: Mark Farrow, who believes men are better cooks than women and believes supermarket bought food is crap; business manager Sarah Louise Moore, a confident person about everything; ethnic Filipino Imelda Smith, a person who enjoys the finer things in life; and spiritualist Annette Storey, who calls upon her angels whenever she can. Annette is the first to host. Her menu consists of: ricotta stuffed Portobello mushrooms as the starter, baked swordfish and prawns on tagliatelle as the main course, and chocolate orange surprise for dessert. Beyond the quality of the food, the guests discuss an item found among Annette's private things. The second host is Imelda, whose Asian inspired menu consists of: lumpiang prito as the starter, Thai green curry as the main course, and halo-halo for dessert. Two of the guests decide to get into a friendly verbal sparring match over dinner. Third host Sarah's Greek inspired menu consists of: zucchini fritters and nutty rice stuffed tomatoes as the starters, moussaka as the main course, and baklava for dessert. The friendly verbally sparring from the evening before turns more pointed to the point where one continuing with this and the last meal is questionable. The last host is Mark, whose menu consists of: homemade fried curd cheese with cucumber mint salad as the starter, fillet of roe deer as the main course, and summer pudding for dessert. The two who have had the feud over the last two days try to make amends. Mark then makes the announcement of the winner of the £1,000.

Zara is the first to host. Her menu consists of: Thai salt and pepper prawns as the starter, Gressingham duck breast as the main course, and tiramisu for dessert. Beyond the quality of the food, the guests discuss the state of Zara's house. Two of the contestants battle it out as the alpha personality of the group. The second host is David, whose menu consists of: goat's cheese soufflé as the starter, pork medallions in a red currant and gin sauce as the main course, and port poached plums for dessert. David wants the evening to be light and frothy, which is the way it starts with his door greeter, but the evening quickly gets taken over the by the alpha personalities. Third host Seamus' menu consists of: bay scallops in angel hair pasta as the starter, Chateaubriand as the main course, and strawberries with balsamic vinegar for dessert. Seamus looks for fun knick knacks for the party and goes shopping at an unusual store. The evening is calmer than the first two, the guests having their own guesses on why. The last host is Wendy, whose menu consists of: game terrine as the starter, stuffed loin of pork as the main course, and apple crumble for dessert. Wendy's game plan has been to be friends with everyone. She'll see if her perma-smile has done the trick as she makes the announcement of the winner of the £1,000.
