This night may also be the first that Lisa will not be bringing any food home, for reasons well within her control. A guest Brad brings to the dinner table may put a damper on the evening. Lazzaro may have a tough crowd with his menu choice as Mirella and Lou don't like lamb, and Erica hates Lazzaro's side vegetable, asparagus. Beyond the taste of the food, his guests are surprised that he would go to all the trouble of making his own cured meats and jarred vegetables for the antipasto but not go to the trouble of making his own ice cream. Hamilton: Andrew Whitney - Block 6

22 mins

All five diners at last night's party state their strategy for winning the week. Overconfident Andrew Whitney is the next to host the dinner party. He takes a risk in never having made many of the components of his meal before. His menu consists of sparkling rhubarb juice cocktails as the welcome drink, dandelion greens salad with goat cheese phyllo flowers as the appetizer, oven roasted salmon as the main course, and buttermilk blackberry panna cotta as the dessert. Andrew knows he comes across as pretentious to his guests, which is a correct assumption. Their view is strengthened by even reading the menu and its use of flowery restaurant styled language. It is strengthened even more during the party as Andrew talks down to his guests and slyly rolls his eyes whenever he is offered a suggestion on improving the meal. Even his party game of blind tastings of food comes across as pretentious and potentially offputting, especially for those not adventurous with their food choices. Will his food, however, rescue him?

Episode 28

Hamilton: Tracie Thompson - Block 6

22 mins

Crazy cat lady Tracie Thompson is the next competitor to host the dinner party. She admits that there is nothing healthy on her menu, which may not impress health nut Jenny. Tracie's southern US inspired menu, which she chooses since she spent much time there and fell in love with the food, consists of Scarlett O'Haras as the welcome drink, a succulent southern sampler (which includes deep fried alligator which she has never made before) as the appetizer, chicken fried steak as the main course with a deep fried catfish for pescatorian Jenny both with a mac and cheese side, and pecan pie for dessert. Beyond what may be written as the menu, many of Tracie's guests are not expecting much of quality to come out of her kitchen. The heavily fried meal may also come across as being too one dimensional. A comment by Manon at the dinner table, Andrew's hypercriticism, Tracie's excessive alcohol consumption, and Tracie's guests knowing that cats have been all over the house have the potential to take over the night. Tracie's southern styled entertainment caps off the evening.

Episode 29

Hamilton: Jenny Gladish - Block 6

22 mins

Jenny Gladish is next on the list to host the dinner party. Much like Andrew, Jenny knows that she can come off as judgmental and preachy, although she figures her attitudes are based on health, rather than Andrew's which are more on self-importance. She is out to show her guests that vegetarianism is not only healthy but tasty. Her meatless menu consists of Bengal spiced iced tea as the welcome drink, tortilla chips and guacamole as the pre-dinner snack, ginger carrot slaw as the appetizer, spring vegetable curry bowl with a cucumber raita as the main course, and Mexican chocolate pudding for dessert. Jenny is unapologetic about not serving meat, despite previous hosts trying to accommodate her vegetarianism/social pescatorianism. As such, Jenny's meal will have to exceed expectations far for her to impress her guests. What some of her guests find in her bedroom may not help her cause. Jenny's party game of croquet confuses especially as she doesn't know the rules, nor do any of her guests. Another party game demonstrates the sly antagonism the others feel for Andrew, and he in return.

Episode 30

Hamilton - Brent Henderson: Block 6

22 mins

Human garburator and basic-minded Brent Henderson is the final host for the week. His plan of attack all week has been to remain neutral and friendly. Because Brent has not criticized anything he's consumed all week, his guests are not expecting his meal to be complex in terms of the flavors. His menu consists of kir royale as the welcome drink, baked spinach dip with pita as the appetizer, smoked beef brisket as the main course with a smoked tofu for Jenny, and a twenty-one crêpe cake salute with homemade ice cream as the dessert. Brent issues a "Canadian tuxedo" dress code, which translated means denim on denim. Upon their arrival, his guests believe the party will be like a night at the frat house, which is accentuated by what they find in his basement freezer, that item which ends up impressing. It is further solidified by Brent's post-dinner game. Although Andrew is direct in his attack, Tracie tries slyly, or not so slyly, to sabotage Brent's party. Brent will find out what effect if any Tracie's sabotage and Andrew's criticisms may have as he announces the winner of the $1,000.

Vancouver: Syd Spencer - Block 7

22 mins

This week, the competition takes place in Vancouver. The five contestants are: hospitality employee Nav Dhillon, a judgmental party boy; waste management employee Alessandro Limongelli, an adrenaline junkie; plumber Rachel Schatz, who speaks her mind; cable guy Syd Spencer, a chatterbox of a hippie; and manager Robin Yeager, a self-professed wine connoisseur and prima donna. Syd Spencer is the first to host the dinner party. His menu consists of watermelon martinis as the welcome drink, steamed mussels with smoked salmon salad as the appetizer, west coast burgers with corn on the cob as the main course, and no bake cheesecake with raspberry coulis for dessert. He issues a "hat" dress code, to which all comply. His guests aren't sure if such a casual dinner, which will all be cooked in Syd's barbecue and served al fresco, is a winning party. Rachel, in particular, comes across as the picky eater among the group, as she doesn't like seafood and has never eaten mussels, the thought and sight of which grosses her out. But it's his unexpected dinner guests, and Robin's know-it-all attitude about wine combined with what she has in her purse, that have the potential to take over the party. Syd's party activity ends up confusing most of his guests.

Episode 32

Vancouver: Nav Dhillon - Block 7

22 mins

After yesterday's first dinner party of the week, two factions seem to be emerging: the in-crowd and others, the latter who may or not be aware of their status. His South Asian-Canadian fusion menu, reflecting his ethnic heritage, consists of salmon pakoras as the appetizer, tandoori chicken with mac & cheese as the main course, and kheer with chocolate dipped strawberries as the dessert. Nav does not have a tandoori oven and plans to smack anyone who asks if he cooked his main in one, which Syd plans on doing. Nav's guests are surprised that he, as a gay man, did not put more effort into his table setting. Beyond the quality of the meal, the fusion part of the menu may confuse. An admission by Nav about his high school days may earn him some sympathy points. And a combination of Robin/Syd/Nav tries literally to send the party up in flames.

His Italian inspired menu, which reflects his ethnic heritage, consists of organic Prosecco with raspberry liqueur as the welcome drink, prosciutto, arugula and cambozola pizzettas with tomato bocconcini towers as the appetizer, lamb shanks with gnocchi as the main course, and cappuccino millefoglie for dessert. He issues a dress code of "sexy night on the town", which surprises his guests when they arrive seeing what Alessandro considers sexy night on the town. Alessandro knows that many of his guests will balk at eating many components of his meal - Robin who doesn't eat lamb, Nav who doesn't care for lamb, Rachel who doesn't eat baby animals, and Syd who doesn't like onions - and as such tries to accommodate at every turn, despite he himself balking at the griping behind the scenes. He also hopes that making most of the components of his meal from scratch, including the pizzetta dough, the gnocchi and the puff pastry for the dessert, will earn him extra points. His guests will learn that Alessandro is a man of dichotomies, which may endear him even more to them. Tears near the end of the meal place a slight damper on the evening's proceedings, but Alessandro does his best to raise the mood before his guests leave.

Vancouver: Rachel Schatz - Block 7

22 mins

Rachel Schatz is next on the list to host the dinner party. She takes a risk by serving the second Italian themed meal of the week, she not being Italian, while one of her guests is to an extreme. Her Italian menu consists of Caprese salad as the appetizer, mushroom risotto and herbed chicken as the main course, and cranberry orange white chocolate biscotti with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. The one item on Rachel's menu that may be the most controversial is a non-food related item: "bathing suits not optional". Beyond that risk, Rachel gets some expert advice on wine to impress the wine snobs. She also caters to the individual booze tastes of which she knows to provide that welcome drink to preferences of her guests. After the consumption of the welcome drinks, the guests find out the rationale for the bathing suits which may surprise some, but perhaps not in a totally bad way. Much like rummaging through Alessandro's house, Rachel's guests see the dichotomy in their night's host. As the evening progresses, the five loosen up like old friends, which is not always a good thing.

Vancouver: Robin Yeager - Block 7

22 mins

Pretentious Robin Yeager is the final host for the week. A-type Robin has no doubt in her mind that she will win the week, although she will have to overcome the major obstacle of her guests believing that she believes wrongly that she is superior if she has any chance of winning. Her menu consists of strawberry margaritas as the welcome drink, crab cakes as the appetizer, osso bucco as the main course, and phyllo pastry cups with lemon cream as the dessert. Living in a household that spends about $10,000 per year on wine, there will be no shortage of the liquid at dinner. Many of Robin's guests take exception to Robin's refusal to eat lamb, but that she is serving babies of another animal species (although to Robin's defense, she stated that she didn't eat lamb because she didn't like the taste). What Nav and Syd find in Robin's bedroom leads to perhaps one of the most unusual spur of the moment party entertainment provided ever. Robin tries to go with the flow to liven up the party by doing something that is seen as being against her personality. The party ends on a "blue" note. Robin will find out what effect if any her late party actions have as she announces the winner of the $1,000.

Her menu consists of bloody irises (which are really red wine sangria with eyeballs) as the welcome drink, grilled prosciutto-wrapped pineapple as the appetizer, steak and ale pie as the main course, and pear crisp as the dessert. Much like Glen before her, Melissa defends what looks to be the simplicity of her menu on paper, which she believes is more time consuming than it looks. Regardless of how the meal turns out, the food is playing second fiddle to the party. Nonetheless, Melissa does have some issues in the kitchen, most specifically with her homemade puff pastry for the pie and the caramel sauce for the dessert. Despite the kitchen mishaps, Melissa takes the theme to an extreme with surprise human guests lurking around corners. In turn, Melissa's guests seem to buy into that theme. Madalena Longo is the next host of the dinner party. Everyone believes Maddy's strategy is to be the cutesy pretty harmless one of the group, perhaps not realizing that the strategy, if it is one, is the way she naturally is. Maddy's true strategy is to be as organized as possible, including having a schedule down to fifteen minute intervals, and having a note to keep everyone's glass topped up. Her menu consists of stuffed poached pears as the appetizer, sausages with herbed polenta as the main course, and bourbon cream cannoli cups with fruit salad for dessert. Like the two previous hosts before her, Maddy defends the simpler aspects of her meal, such as the main, as she has to spend the time on other aspects of the party. However, she does make her own sausages, rolled in caul fat. Nice guy Glen gives Maddy a sad replica of what she wants from someone else in real life. Beyond the food, much of the night's focus turns to relationships, especially Maddy's, she who has been with the same man for eight years, they who live together but sleep in separate beds, and a marriage proposal which does not seem to be on the horizon despite that being what Maddy seems to want. The party ends on an unexpected note, which surprises the super organized host and results in a Come Dine with Me Canada first.
