Ever the community-minded duo that they are the Chuckle Brothers are only too happy to oblige when the vicar asks them to climb up to the church tower belfry and rid it off bats nesting there. Inevitably things do not go as the siblings had planned - and they end up going completely 'batty'.

Paul and Barry are working as cabin crew on Penguin Airlines where they push passengers' faces in the food, pour soup down the pilot's shirt and throw it out of the window believing they are putting it in a washing-machine. When he changes into a cowboy outfit they mistake him for a stowaway, tie him up and try to throw him out.

Whilst working at Danworld holiday camp Paul and Barry continually fall foul of a fussy camper, who brings his duck rubber ring Prendergast with him, by covering him in ice cream, tipping him in the pool and then bursting Prendergast. They go to buy a replacement for Prendergast but get a parking ticket and end up in court, where the judge is a familiar face.

The Chuckle Brothers are rabbit wardens and, whilst digging to look for rabbits, they discover a cache of gold coins, which they show to an archaeologist called Miss Fortune. Miss Fortune steals the coins and hides them in her tent so the brothers, using a workman's tent, steal the coins back again. A chase through the streets follows - in tents.

Paul and Barry are sent to tune a piano by lowering it, which they do rather too literally. The indignant owner is about to take part in the London to Brighton car rally and the Chuckle Brothers get roped into driving the car for the old lady next door. Unfortunately, their sense of direction ends them up in New Brighton.

The Chuckle Brothers are sent by Councillor Smallbeck to paint the library where they inevitably cause havoc. Having smashed a vase they proceed to tip paint over the readers as well dropping a bucket of paint on the librarian ,whom they also knock off a ladder before she chases them out of the building.

The Chuckle Brothers are working as shop assistants at a jeweller's shop and Paul claps eyes on a man who is looking at rings. Paul is convinced that the man is a prospective bride-groom and, before he can say anything, has begun the preparations for his 'big day'.

Paul and Barry are in Scotland, on their way to the Loch Aye Highland Games,where they intend to represent the Clan McChuckle and win the Ancient Haggis Mallet of the Young Pretender. They meet up with ferry captain Lachlan McSlachlan who is determined to stop them from reaching their destination when they set foot on his ferry.

When Paul finds what he believes to be a distinctive birth-mark on his back he becomes convinced that he is the aristocratic Lord Chuckle and begins to order everybody to treat him accordingly. However, Harold the Butler is having none of it and is prepared to tell Paul so.

The Chuckle Brothers are working in Dan the Van's bedroom furnishings store where they demolish one of the beds as soon as they arrive. They are asked by the manager to deliver a Dan the Divan What a Bed range mattress to his house without waking up his mother-in-law or destroying his wife's goldfish.

Paul and Barry get ship-wrecked on an island. It is actually a traffic island just outside Birmingham, but then they are joined by another 'castaway' and it turns into a fight for survival between him and them.

The Chuckle Brothers are on holiday, staying at Jimmy's Inn, where they intend to take part in sand-castle building competition. However, they antagonise the manager, who is determined to stop them, and they must devise ways to keep him indoors and away from the competition.

Whilst attempting to persuade a gents' outfitter to buy their cousins, the McChuckles' Highland tartan cloth - without success - Barry and Paul land jobs as shop assistants to the tailor, creating inevitable chaos. However, a posh customer turns up and when the brothers ruin his jacket he decides that he wants one made of Highland tartan.

The Chuckle Brothers become assistants in the comic stage act of Jimmy 'No Slacking' Patten but manage to antagonise him as well as falling foul of the conjuror's bag of tricks.

Market gardeners Paul and Barry name their new orchid after Dan the Van and go to his office to show it to him. However,his secretary's over-protective manner leads the brothers to believe that Dan has been kidnapped and so they become spies, the trail leading to America and then out of this world.
