Paul and Barry are stonemasons in Roman Britain. Courage is called for when they have to foil a plot to kidnap the great Caesar.

Two American ghost-hunters arrive at Dan the Van's castle to make a television programme, 'Flying Spirits' and the Chuckle Brothers have to convince them that the place is haunted. Paul rigs up a fake spook in a suit of armour, as well as creating a dry ice effect, but the last word goes to the real ghost.

Paul and Barry's latest job is to install a snooker table for the Viscount at his stately home. Unfortunately the table is rather too big and so Paul's solution is to knock the wall down to make more room for it. The Viscount is not necessarily pleased.

The Chuckle Brothers have found themselves back at the court of King Henry the Eighth, who is awaiting the arrival of his seventh wife. When Paul hears that the prospective bride's ship has been lost at sea he coerces Barry into impersonating the lady so that they can taste the high life of the royal court.

The Chuckle Brothers are handymen at Dame Alice's dance academy, but they polish the floor too highly and the local champions slip and are indisposed. In order to win the money to keep the academy open, Paul and Barry (the latter in drag, as 'Harold') must prove that they are ballroom champions, against the highly competitive Rodney and Davina.

Paul and Barry are back in twelfth century Sherwood Forest, where they meet and join Robin Hood and his merry men. Due to Paul's idiocy,the Sheriff captures Marian so the Chuckle Brothers set out to save her, posing as hot dog salesmen, but then Paul is mistaken for Robin Hood and challenged to an archery contest, which he must win - blindfold.

Episode 7

Barry discovers oil underneath his wishing well and it comes gushing up. Paul meets an American magnate who is extremely interested in doing business with the brothers - until it turns out that there is a leak in the pipeline supplying oil to the next door neighbour.
Episode 8

Whilst working at Chez Beaker restaurant Paul finds out he can control Barry via his games console and get him to move at double speed, so they open their own restaurant with Barry as the fastest waiter in the west. Mr. Beaker steals the console so Paul poses as food critic Ramsay Gordon to retrieve it, leading to a very messy food fight before Barry turns the tables and controls Paul.

Episode 9

Barry is spotted by Gavin from the Wild Wolf fragrance and fashion company, who sets him on a career as an international super-model, not to mention a recording artiste with his hit song, 'Moon Over Rotherham'. Paul gets very jealous but his attempts to sabotage a catwalk show fail miserably.

When the Chuckle Brothers find a newspaper with a future date on it they reckon that they can warn everybody about what is going to happen and, as a consequence, avoid any misfortunes befalling them. Inevitably the reverse happens.

The Chuckle Brothers get a job at the zoo, teaching tricks to Choo-Choo the giant panda. But Choo-Choo gets bored and runs off, riding the train and going for a Chinese meal. Paul 'persuades' Barry to put on a panda suit to fool Mrs. Stubbs, the zoo owner. But then a man in a white coat appears with a large needle to give the panda its shots. This is more than Barry bargained for.

Paul and Barry are pursued by an international jewel thief as they try to get a precious case back to its rightful owner.

Paul takes it upon himself to challenge 'No Slacking' to a golf contest. He intends to cheat but Barry messes up his plans. Barry, however, turns out to be extremely good and notches up an incredibly high score when the ball continuously ricochets off the score marker posts. 'No Slacking' is not happy and decides to cheat.

Episode 14

When Barry is entered by Paul for the Man of Steel contest, his puny frame makes him unlikely to win, particularly as muscular Swede Magnus Sorenson keeps cheating, using a light weight caber and wedging Barry's boulder in the stone rolling trial. Paul decides to cheat on Barry's behalf but only succeeds in getting his brother - and Magnus - disqualified and, with most of the field scattered in alarm, the eventual winner is even weedier than Barry.

The duo work at dizzying heights as they decorate a cruise ship, but will Captain Pilbury be impressed with their paintwork?
