Casey and others take refuge in an office, but the gas leaks in and is ignited by an electric spark. Casey tries to find a way out. Dawson goes to a report of a woman having some kind of coronary. She wants to bring her to the hospital but an advocate stops them. Later, they go there again and this time Dawson takes her, over the advocate's objections.

Herrman has a chance to be promoted but when he goes to the Chief, he's told to admit that he made a mistake when he chose to go against regulations and saved someone.
