Instrument of Destruction: Part One

Dateline: the day after tomorrow. Spectrum agents Captain Scarlet and Captain Black are assigned to investigate the source of unexplained extraterrestrial signals which have been detected emanating from Mars. They discover a strange and fantastic alien city but when their Bison Alien Terrain Vehicle is approached by a glowing green sphere, Black assumes that they are under attack and launches missiles which destroy the city. Miraculously, the city reforms and its alien occupants, the Mysterons, are disgusted by the violence of the Earthmen, pledging to crush their world. Black is apparently killed but Scarlet is returned to Earth as the Mysterons' instrument of destruction...

Instrument of Destruction: Part Two

When Captain Black is linked to a mysterious explosion at a military research center, Scarlet and Blue are dispatched to New York to liaise with the FBI in their attempt to track down the former Spectrum agent. Black is spotted at the United Nations Building where Colonel White is addressing the UN delegates in an emergency meeting about the Mysteron threat. Believing that Black intends to assassinate the Colonel during his speech, Scarlet and Blue race to the UN to stop him, but Black's real target is the Russian Army chief General Zamatev. Once under Mysteron control, Zamatev provides the firepower to launch an attack on Spectrum's Skybase headquarters, while Black himself pursues an even more devastating agenda!

Swarm

After a strange mysteron controlled aircraft is destroyed by the angels, a strange swarm of tiny green robots erupts from the wreckage and eats one of the angel's aircraft. Soon the same small robots infests skybase. It is soon realized the machines are not bent on destruction, but are following a far more devious plan. Captain Scarlet and Blue launch a daring plan to try and stop the machines and rescue trapped Skybase crew

Rat Trap

Captain Scarlet and a team of Spectrum operatives go to Mars to check the reasons for the lack of contact with Elysium base. On approach they are shot down by a missile, apparently fired from the base. At the base they find all the staff dead from a strange series of injuries. Scarlet quickly realizes they are not alone on the planet. He needs to identify what killed the crewmen and neutralize the threat before his own team becomes victims

The Homecoming

Spectrum scrambles as a strange craft enters Earth's atmosphere. Investigating the landed object reveals it is an escape pod carrying one survivor from the first manned Jupiter mission believed destroyed 15 years before. The survivor is Lieutenant Green's father. Green is overjoyed at the news, but others have doubts that he may be a Mysteron replicant. Scarlet has to decide the truth about the survivor and what the real aims of the Mysterons are
Episode 6
Mercury Falling

Spectrum is pleased with the launch of a new satellite being put into orbit that will detect Mysteron energy deep in space. Suddenly the crew loses control of the ship and a ransom demand is sent, if not paid the craft will be crash landed on Washington DC. Scarlet and the rest of Spectrum are puzzled, they seem to be facing a classic Mysteron gambit, but why is there a demand for ransom.

Circles of Doom

Spectrum is faced with a new threat when the Mysterons deploy a weapon that interrupts all electromagnetic. Captain Scarlet must dig deep into history and use a novel way to try to combat this new threat.

Scarlet awakens after being killed during a mission to discover he is a ghost. He is aware of a bomb planted on Skybase but must find a way to interact with the crew and warn them of the situation.

Spectrum becomes aware of a Mysteron plan to penetrate the defenses of a nuclear power plant in Scotland. Spectrum launch every available asset to stop them but discover the Mysterons intend to use Spectrum's own technology to defeat them.

When Colonel White's daughter, Victoria, is kidnapped, her abductors demand the colonel take part in a train robbery. Captains Scarlet and Blue must try and find the kidnappers and ensure the safe return of Victoria before its too late.

A Mysteron contacts Scarlet and seems to indicate not all Mysterons support the war and offers information that could end the war. Scarlet must get the agent to White before the Mysterons can intercept her and stop her delivering possibly the biggest message of all.

The Mysterons unleash a deadly biological weapon against Earth. It is up to Captain Scarlet and the rest of Spectrum to stop this latest threat.

Everyone on Skybase apart from Captain Scarlet and Destiny Angel are infected by a deadly virus uploaded on the Skybase computer. Can they erase the virus before they too become infected?

A Mysteron spacecraft enters Earth atmosphere and is engaged by the Angels fighter crafts. The alien spacecraft avoids destruction and goes onto land in northern Australia, with Captain Scarlet and a team of Spectrum agents following it.

Black and Scarlet through a strange set of circumstances find themselves trapped under Arctic Ice. They realize they need to co-operate with the other to get themselves out of the situation.

The designer of the devastating Thunder Pulse compression bomb is presumed killed and replaced by the Mysterons. Spectrum turn to his twin brother who is a convicted criminal in the hope he can make some sort of mental link and stop whatever plan the Mysterons are trying to execute.

Captain Scarlet, Lieutenant Green and Colonel White are touring a new ship called "Proteus" when the Mysterons take the ship over and trap the three spectrum officers and the Proteus crew aboard. When Colonel White is injured by a robot that the ship controls and forcing Lieutenant Green to step up and get the Colonel to safety whilst Captain Scarlet must stop Proteus from destroying a Chinese vessel with the president of China on board which would result in a war between the United States and the republic of China.

Destiny, Harmony and Melody Angels find themselves marooned on a beautiful desert island. However, paradise turns to terror as they are hunted by evil Mysteronised pirates, who want to know the location of an important meeting.

Scarlet and Blue track a stolen Russian tank into the Alaskan wilderness. There they find a whole town overtaken by the Mysterons. Their mission this time is to unleash one of the greatest terrors in the galaxy on the human population of Earth.

Captains Scarlet and Blue catch a courier and a business man in the act of an illegal biological weapons sting operation, but upon the retrieval of the contents, they find that they have been duped. Destiny Angel and Lieutenant Green take a much-needed vacation at the lunar base. Scarlet tracks down the informant and confronts him, only to find out that the weapon is on the moon base. Upon arrival, Scarlet warns the leader of the moon base of the biological weapon, who immediately initiates the lunar tour to allow the Spectrum agents to search the base, but it is revealed that Captain Black is holding the tourists as hostages in their vehicles in his Bison moon vehicle, coaxing Captain Scarlet into a duel to prevent the destruction of the moon base.
Episode 24
Shapeshifter

The Mysterons use experimental Atomic technology to create an entity that can take any form. The shapeshifter then takes out Captain Scarlet and takes his identity, which gets it aboard Skybase causing havoc for Spectrum.

Dominion

Black returns to earth, apparently free of the Mysteron's control, and urges Scarlet to return to Mars with him to end the war he began months earlier.

Grey Skulls

A motorcycle gang member steals Captain Ochre's Raid Bike, but finds out that he's an alien fighter and he assists Spectrum in finding a Mysteron agent that is carrying something that can kill thousands of people in seconds.
