Captain Black mistakes a Mysteron camera for a cannon, which I understand since it looks like one, and attacks a Mysteron complex. The Mysterons misunderstand and start a war of nerves, putting Captain Black under their control. They threaten to kill the World President. Captain Scarlet and Brown are killed and reconstructed by the Mysterons. The first attempt fails, and during the second attempt Colonel White discovers that the Captain Brown that escorted the president wasn't really Captain Brown, and that Captain Scarlet is under the control of the Mysterons as well. This means the President is in danger.

Episode 2

The Mysterons second target is the Director General of the United Asian Republic. The Director is on a visit to London and is scheduled to fly back to Asia via London airport but the Mysterons have other plans. After a failed assassination attempt, the Mysterons destroy and rebuild a DT-19 aircraft to aid their mission. Meanwhile Captain Scarlet returns to duty, apparently now virtually indestructible, but will this be enough to stop the Mysterons?

A nuclear device is stolen while being transported through London and it doesn't take long for the Mysterons to announce the city itself as their latest target. All Spectrum have to go on is a lead from the driver of the nuclear transporter, who claims that he heard Big Ben strike thirteen times. With time running out, can Spectrum use this cryptic clue to find the device before it's too late?

The Mysterons make their first mistake when Captain Black, revealed to have become a Mysteron agent, breaks into the Culver Atomic Centre and is exposed to radioactivity that will enable Spectrum to track him with directional geiger counters.

The Mysterons threaten to destroy the Frost Line Outer Space Defence System. When one base suddenly falls silent, Colonel White sends in Captain Scarlet and Lieutenant Green to investigate.

Episode 6

Colonel White leaves Cloudbase after the Mysterons threaten to kill him, reasoning that such a threat endangers the other members of Spectrum. He takes refuge on board a submarine and is assigned protection in the form of Ensign Soames. However, neither the crew nor the Colonel realize that Soames is a Mysteron agent. With the Mysterons seemingly free to carry out their threat, could this be the end for Colonel White?

Captain Scarlet is sent to a remote Castle in Glen Garry, Scotland, to supervise security for the International Air Conference after the Mysterons threaten to wipe out the entire Supreme Command of the World's Air Force.

The Mysterons announce that they are going to kill time. This baffling statement has Spectrum following up countless leads until Captain Magenta guesses the answer. The Spectrum forces prioritize the security of General Tiempo, whom they believe to be the Mysterons target and who is scheduled to undergo revolutionary surgery at the hands of Doctor Magnus. Unbeknownst to Spectrum, Magnus is a Mysteron agent and the General's life is in greater danger than they think.

Spectrum Intelligence reveals two new anti Mysteron gadgets (A Mysteron detector and a Mysteron gun) developed from previous knowledge of the Mysterons. These are The Mysterons, however, have different ideas. When Spectrum discover that Captain Indigo is in the hands of the Mysterons, Captain Scarlet is sent after him. However, he has a time limit; Indigo has activated the lift mechanism and nicked the master key, trapping everyone below the lodge as the elevator can't be used at the same time as the lift mechanism. Can Scarlet get the key back and reverse the direction of the lift mechanism before Captain Blue, Colonel White, Dr Giadello, General Peterson and the World President are crushed?

The Supreme Commander of Earth Forces is threatened with death by the Mysterons. Scarlet and Blue escort him to a briefing at SHEF, narrowly averting an assassination attempt. Moving the Supreme Commander to a fortified bunker in the desert, Spectrum faces an even greater challenge: the new Unitron tank has been programmed to destroy the Supreme Commander at all costs.
