Episode 1
Brat Farrar has returned to Britain after injuring himself working with horses in Mexico. Alec Loding persuades him to be Patrick Ashby, who vanished aged 9, and gain Latchetts Estate.
Episode 2
Brat Farrar contacts solicitor Mr Sandal who vets his background. After preliminary investigations he meets sister Eleanor and proclaimed to be Patrick but twin Simon believes he is a fraud.
Episode 3
Brat gets a warm welcome from the family when he returns to Latchets as Patrick. Twin brother Simon finally acknowledges him but catches him out with shared childhood memories.
Episode 4
With Patrick's 21st birthday approaching Brat is reach of inheriting Latchetts. Simon is drinking heavily and starting to unravel. After failing to buy off Brat, he realises Simon must know what happened to the real Patrick.
Episode 5
Brat finally inherits Latchets but a guilty conscious makes him offer an interest free loan to Simon. Alec Loding lays down his blackmail terms. Brat is sure the body of Patrick is at the bottom of Melchit quarry.
Episode 6
Brat comes clean to George that he is not Patrick. Alec Loding goes on the run to Australia. Simon attempts to kill Brat but dies instead. While in hospital it is discovered Brat is Walter's son thus being the rightful heir of Latchets.
