Meanwhile Lisa moves in with a friend, settles into the city's grinding uncertainty, and begins to sense that Lou's interest may have strings attached. At a glamorous party she encounters Boro, a strange woman holding a cat and offering help of a darker, mysterious kind. When Lisa learns that Lou has quietly reassigned the directing job to someone else and aggressively dismisses her concerns, she is pushed into making a radical choice, one that will lead her into a strange pact and open the door to supernatural retribution.

Lou screens the footage for Mary, revealing that she gouged out her own eye and consumed it on camera. As Mary recoils in horror, Lou's enforcer James attacks Lisa, strangling her nearly to death. The installment concludes with Lisa, barely clinging to life, begging the undead Jonathan to carry her back to Boro while an unseen woman speaks in Portuguese.
