Proctor announces that a royal visitor will open the new terminal, outraging republican staff members, who hold a protest. Clive, now a policeman, but keen to be around his old colleagues, is in charge of security. The 'royal' visitor is a patronizing baron who gets attacked by sniffer dog Snowflake, as he is wearing Tariq's jacket with meat in the pockets whilst there is a further calamity when a little girl finds Clive's gun and threatens him with it.

Episode 2
Proctor is interviewing for Clive's replacement but Clive, sacked from the police following the incident with the gun, is anxious to apply. Meanwhile Grant, as union rep, is under pressure from the baggage handlers and their grievances regarding pension cuts, as well as having to test arrivals as possible Ebola carriers. With the rest of the staff on the picket line in support of the baggage handlers Clive comes to the rescue when a potential Ebola suspect flies in, winning his old job back as a result.

The bodies of two deceased men are being repatriated from the airport and Andy is chosen to comfort the relatives. The first, Mr Richardson, is very jaunty, giving her a misplaced confidence to deal with the second, vicar's daughter Valerie, but when her father's coffin is opened there is a shock for everybody - and Clive has to save the day.

Proctor is in buoyant mood, having given up the drink but Tariq bets Andy she will not last a day. Meanwhile Grant has to deal with aggressive trans-gender passenger Alicia Barnes, travelling on her old passport as Alec and, with the ladies' toilet out of action, Tariq is certain he can win his bet. He could be right.

Andy literally draws the short straw to stand in for Proctor when the severe Mary Parfitt arrives for Northend's annual inspection. Meanwhile Grant regrets taking Tariq's advice on sexting but Clive's use of the baggage handlers' ideas for beefing up the airport's Twitter account succeeds in impressing Mary Parfitt.
Episode 6

The agents take part in a team building workshop with comedienne Eleanor Wilson, an old school-mate of Proctor. Initially wary they all succumb to her - except Proctor, who feels Eleanor is deliberately humiliating her for past grievances. Then Eleanor makes a confession which alarms Andy whilst Tariq's career as a model proves to be less than the glamorous life he has made it out to be.
