Over at Rocque Records, meanwhile, Arthur Griffin exercises his intolerance of pranks on Gustavo and Kelly.

The guys are excited to head back to Minnesota for the holidays, but hours before their flight, Griffin tells them they have to stay in Los Angeles to record a three-song holiday EP, and two of the songs have to be with celebrities. Racing against time, they help Gustavo write the first song, 'Beautiful Christmas.' After watching a commercial for Miranda Cosgrove's holiday TV special, the boys and Gustavo decide to sneak into Miranda's taping and convince her to duet with them on the Mariah Carey holiday classic 'All I Want For Christmas Is You.' After leaving the studio, Gustavo gets hit by Snoop Dogg's limo while crossing the street. Snoop feels so badly about the accident that he offers to record the third song with the boys, a new Yard Squirrels (a novelty band that Gustavo had a hit with in the '90s) song, 'Let's Stay In Our PJs (All Christmas Long).'

At the beginning of the episode, Jo is sitting on a chair, while Kendall, Carlos, Logan, and James are sitting on the couch. We learn that Jo is awaiting a phone call from her agent to let her know if she got a part in a movie. However, it is discovered that the movie will be shooting for three years and she will have to move to New Zealand for that time. Because of this, Jo at first turns down the movie so she can stay with Kendall. However, Kendall discovers this and attempts to be extremely disgusting to get her to break up with him. She eventually does on their dinner date. Jo finds out that he was being disgusting to get her to break up with her. The two share emotional goodbye together, ending in one of their famous good bye kisses. One of the subplots in the episodes is Kelly's and Logan's attempts to get Carlos to get rid of his helmet. In the end the three agree that Carlos will not wear it during Photo shoots or at the Dinner Table. The second subplot is James having a three day relationship with a foreign pop star by the name of Selana. They go through the stages of love that often last a lifetime, and break it off after the three days. The two however are not angry, and wish each other luck on their albums.

Arthur's demand for a summertime mega hit single gives Gustavo writer's block. Arthur also demands that the Big Time Rush bandmates get Kendall out of his funk over Jo's three-year move to New Zealand (a task much harder than the boys anticipate). As Katie and Kelly work on connecting Gustavo to his inner teenager, Kendall's bandmates each try going through a whirlwind breakup so's to reach Kendall at his level.

Katie, meanwhile, tries to get Buddha Bob married in three hours before a government official extradites him back to Canada.

The boys cannot mess up this date because they need to climb the "Magazine Ladder." Kendall's date has got the hots for Katie, while Logan's date has no idea what BTR is.

Kendall says this is what comes of keeping secrets, but he himself is soon spotted having a secret rendezvous with Camille, which sets off Logan. Gustavo, meanwhile, obsesses over getting Jennifer's secret snickerdoodle recipe.
