Jenny, Cassie and Cody have to come to some understanding, especially as they work together, in Jenny learning that Cody and Cassie have been in a sexual liaison, Jenny's anger despite she realizing that Cassie would not have been intimate with Cody unless he implied that the marriage was over. Rick and Merilee's is another marriage in trouble in Merilee feeling like Rick treats her more like a mother than a wife. Their respective personal relationships are placed on hold when they join forces to work on a missing persons case, a personal one on both sides. Meanwhile, Ronald is denigrated by his mother once again, which leads to his latest act to prove to himself that she is wrong. He comes across an unexpected find in a case of road rage.

Nowhere to Run

Jenny and Cassie are forced to put aside their current differences to work together when they believe Cody has gone missing, his disappearance above and beyond Danielle and Grace also still missing. Cassie investigates where Cody was last known to be, with State Trooper Legarski, the two who were supposedly heading to the church. Upon meeting Legarski, Cassie gets a different distinct impression of who Denise considers the most bland person she knows, he who, in her estimation, wouldn't fight his way out of a paper bag. Jenny also stumbles upon some information of who looks to be another missing young woman. Meanwhile, Legarski tries to clean up the mess that he considers was created by Ronald, that mess including kidnapping Danielle and Grace who are outside of their "women at risk" target population, while Ronald demonstrates his current fragile state in his latest encounter with his domineering mother. And Jerrie, Danielle and Grace bond together to try to figure out a way out of their current predicament, with one of the three emerging as the alpha female. In the process of what happens, Jerrie isn't sure if she can keep her secret from Ronald, discovery of that secret which would change the course of action Ronald and by association Legarski would take with her.

The Big Rick

In their continuing investigation in their search for the missing Cody, Danielle and Grace, Jenny focuses on the church while Cassie continues with her assessment of Legarski, they convening after the fact to compare notes. Meanwhile, Justin has resigned himself to the notion that one of the three missing will not make it back. And Danielle, Grace and Jerrie discover a physical breach in the walls of the container in which they are being held. Even if they are able to make it out of the container, they still have to find a way out of the locked basement, and make their way to safety, not yet knowing about a man in uniform that may be purportedly coming to their aid.

Unfinished Business

Jenny and Cassie continue their investigation of Legarski, and with Tubb's unwitting help, believe they have a way to monitor his movements more closely. They also come into possession of some surveillance camera footage of Jerrie at the truck stop, which makes them believe that Legarski is working with a trucker. While Denise cannot glean definitive information of specific truckers from the footage, Jenny and Cassie believe they know which trucker is involved with Legarski, and take the somewhat risky steps to gather the evidence needed. Meanwhile, Legarski and Ronald are feeling more and more pressure from all sides, whether it be from Cassie, and now Jenny and Tubb, Legarski from Merilee and Ronald from his mother, from their captives, and now from the public with Mrs. Sullivan having made a plea through the media for her daughters' safe recovery. While this pressure places a strain between Legarski and Ronald, they both vow to do what's necessary, which may mean different things to each man, Ronald who takes some next steps in protecting himself from Legarski, especially if he plans to throw him under the bus. And Grace, whose condition is indeed worsening, comes up with another plot, a rather disgusting one to Danielle and Jerrie, to buy the three of them some more time before they are sold into their now known fate of white slavery.

A Good Day to Die

It's getting close to the time that Legarski's buyers will be coming for the girls. As such, Danielle, Grace and Jerrie come to some new individual thoughts about their life and what they need to do to get out of their predicament, which may end in one, two or all three not making it out at all. The end of this saga now in sight leads to Legarski and Ronald too having their thoughts in other directions beyond just the girls, Ronald about how he and Legarski got into business together which led to this bad situation, and Legarski toward Merilee in she telling him about her extracurricular activity last night without him. Jenny and Cassie can feel that they are close to finding the girls, Cody and Jerrie, the tracker on Legarski's vehicle which will provide some key information especially concerning the shed. A comment by Kai and by someone close to Legarski may get Cassie on the path to discovering what is happening.

The Wolves Are Always Out for Blood

After Jenny and Cassie learn the truth about Cody's fate, they decide to officially team up to track down Ronald. Elsewhere, Merrilee grapples with the fact that she didn't truly know her husband, while Helen learns more about her son's recent activities.

I Fall to Pieces

Miraculously, Rick has regained consciousness, but his brain function is less than "normal". His union has appointed a lawyer, Penelope Denesuk, who may be the perfect match for him, she vowing to do her best in his case. His situation places Meriliee in a quandary in knowing what he did, but still being concerned considering his current mental state. Despite Tubb's warnings, Jenny and Cassie need to see this case through to its conclusion, which now means supporting Grace in she willing both to help locate the missing dead fisherman and identifying Rick as the fisherman's murderer - Rick who may only face the murder charge for the fisherman in not having been the one who abducted the three, and only if the fisherman's body can be found - which actually means being in the same room as him. It also means supporting Jerrie in locating the trucker, especially as she has received a threatening note supposedly by him, making her still feel in danger. With news of Rick regaining consciousness hitting the media, Ronald is feeling under greater pressure in trying to protect himself. His first order of business is to retrieve any documents Rick has hidden in his secret place in his bedroom, the easiest access being through Merilee. Although not having done so yet in any of his crimes, Ronald also feels like he could resort to murder, many people potentially on that list.
Episode 8
The End Is Near

Rick's mind is still completely void of any of his criminal activities, or so it would seem. While Penelope wants to protect her client regardless of what he may have done, Jenny and Cassie are certain, without yet having questioned him directly themselves, that he is putting on an act. Doing that direct questioning will not be easy with the police and Penelope on guard restricting access to him. This situation is placing Merilee in an increasing troubled mental state as Walter cannot help but investigate if she was complicit in Rick's activities, especially seeing as to her relationship with "Mitchell" (aka Ronald) and he being invited into her house. Meanwhile, Jerrie is feeling increasingly at risk the longer that the unknown trucker is not apprehended. With the composite sketch, from Jerrie's description, now in the public realm including on the front page of the Helena newspaper, Ronald is getting more and more desperate. With he having now killed, he may feel emboldened to do so again if he is further feeling cornered.

A brutal battle ensues, clearing a path for Scarlet and Ronald to escape, but while they run off into the sunset Jenny risks her life to save Cassie's. Is this the end for our dynamic duo?
