This series follows the adventures, trials and tribulations of Dominic "The Dom", owner of a fleet of six shrimp boats in the Gulf of Mexico, and his crew of shrimpers from Alabama. They have 30 days in June-July to make their money by scouring the Gulf, looking for the best territory to drag their heavy funnel-shaped trawl nets over the seafloor like a mule pulling a plow.
