The contestants have been separated into three different categories: solo vocalists, group performances, and young performers. After we watch the acts in each category, the audience, using the Big Break computer, will award each contestant with as many as 300 points. The audience will then select one winner in each category, and the three winners will return at the end of the show for the final round, where the audience will vote for tonight's "Big Break Artist of the Week" worth $5,000. That performer also will qualify for the next round of competitions as we look for "Big Break Artist of the Year" worth $100,000 in cash and prizes.
