Endora agrees to babysit Tabatha while Samantha is off to lunch with Darrin. After Samantha has left, Endora is reminded of a change in date of an important engagement to today. She turns one of Tabatha's toy soldiers into a life sized but non-talking version to act as babysitter in her absence. After Endora leaves, Tabatha decides to change more of her toys into life sized babysitters to keep her and the soldier company. When Samantha and Darrin arrive home and see the menagerie of life sized animated toys, they, flabbergasted, don't know what to do but wait until Endora's return so that she can change them all back. But what they do do is cancel a business dinner they were going to host for the Tates and an important client. However, suspicious Larry believes the dinner cancellation is a ploy for Darrin to steal the client and open his own agency. Complications ensue when Larry comes by the house and sees the live dolls, the soldier in particular who he believes is a company employee that Darrin wants to pilfer for his own company. Samantha has to figure out how she and Darrin can convince Larry that nothing improper is happening while explaining the fact of the soldier.

A potential new client for McMann & Tate is the Italian based company, Romani Foods, which is moving into the American market. Mr. Arcarius, Romani's account executive, believes Mr. Romani will only sign with McMann & Tate if their personalities mesh. What he really means is that Larry and/or Darrin must be able to speak to Mr. Romani in Italian. On the spot, Larry tells him that Darrin is fluent, which is the farthest from the truth as Darrin has no aptitude at all in learning foreign languages. However, Darrin decides to take on the challenge. Believing it impossible but wanting to provide Samantha the opportunity to travel to Italy for this account the mortal way, Endora places a spell on Darrin making him fluent in Italian. However, what her spell also ends up doing is making Darrin no longer understand English. This language issue not only causes the obvious problem of dealing with his English speaking colleagues - namely Larry - but also with the Romani account, as Mr. Romani may feel that Darrin's use of Italian is going overboard and thus mocking his own Italian roots.

But Darrin's move is the last straw for Endora, who wants to see the end of the marriage. The following day, while Samantha is out all day doing volunteer work for the church bazaar, Endora enlists the help of Serena to masquerade as Samantha in front of Darrin. Serena's task as Samantha is to end the marriage both by expressing her anger over Darrin's actions and by making Darrin so angry himself through further actions by Serena. Serena has to walk a fine line as she can't be too aggressive in her approach to tip off to Darrin that she is really Serena and not Samantha. The Stephens' nosy neighbors may also factor into how the story plays out.

Samantha doesn't want Darrin to know that she bought a new coat as he will probably think the purchase too frivolous for their budget. Darrin does find out, and although he reluctantly allows Samantha to keep the coat, Samantha vows to take it back. Endora is appalled by what she sees as Samantha needing to live on a budget, which she attributes to Darrin's cheapness. As such, Endora places a spell on Darrin to make him the most miserly person in the world. Not only does the spell affect whether Darrin allows Samantha to keep the coat, it affects Darrin's working relationships, especially with Larry, who wants to charge clients to the max, and their latest client, Mr. Bigelow, who is the tightest tightwad in the world. Samantha quickly surmises that Darrin's recent cheapness is all Endora's doing. So while Samantha tries to get her mother to remove the spell, she concurrently tries to undo the spell herself during a business dinner with Bigelow, with unintended consequences.

Episode 6
Thu, Oct 12, 196730 mins
Samantha is excited by Darrin's news: he is about to sign what may be the biggest account of his career, Larry is giving him a big bonus because of it, and they can use the money for the cruise to Bermuda they've dreamed of taking. Samantha's excitement is tempered when she later learns that she's lost her powers, about which Darrin is unaware. Dr. Bombay's diagnosis: she's temporarily lost her powers due to non-use of her witchcraft, which is making those powers "dam" up, which in turn will eventually explode. To recover, Samantha has to do one of the basics of witchcraft, namely levitate or "fly". Concurrently, Darrin learns that the account may be in jeopardy because the client company's lawyer, M.J. Nilesmunster, is "Mary Jane", an old girlfriend from a long time ago who then vowed revenge on Darrin, she who is required to sign the contract. After Darrin telephones home telling Samantha not to book the trip yet, Endora eventually grabs the phone to tell Darrin that Samantha can no longer talk since she has become busy "flying". So when Darrin sees a fly buzzing around the meeting room, he is convinced that the fly is Samantha who has come to place a spell on M.J. to sign the contract by erasing any memory of Darrin from her past. M.J. does sign. Darrin believes this self-serving move by Samantha is a potentially marriage ending one, while Darrin not believing that she was not that fly is also potentially marriage ending for Samantha. Will anything or anyone convince either of them otherwise?

Episode 7
Thu, Oct 19, 196730 mins
Darrin, who used to be a good golfer in college, is willing to wake up in the wee hours of the morning to go to the links to get his game up to where it was in college if only to impress a potential new client, Joe Baxter, a sportsman who judges people on their athletic prowess, especially in golf. As Baxter himself states, he sees sport, any sport, as a "dramatization of life". However, as an ultra competitive man, Baxter will judge a person favorably if he or she is good but not better than him. The latter part of that statement is difficult to achieve anyway since Baxter does live up to his bragging. Endora believes that Darrin will not be satisfied with being as good as he was in college, and will go overboard once he gets a taste of success. As such, Endora, without telling either Samantha or Darrin, places a spell to bring his game up to where it was in college. She seems to be correct as he can't stop gushing about his game after his successful early morning practice round. Things get a little tense when Darrin is competitive in his and Larry's golf match with Baxter. Baxter, flustered by Darrin's success, just wants to win. Larry, who wants Baxter's account, does anything to make Darrin lose. Darrin seemingly just wants to play his best golf ever and beat Baxter. And Baxter's wife, Margaret Baxter, who has heard her husband's sports success stories over and over and over, just wants him to stop bragging. Samantha has the choice to do nothing, help Baxter and Larry by making Darrin lose and in turn gain the account for McMann & Tate, or help Darrin and Margaret by improving Darrin's game that much more in beating Baxter, which in turn would probably mean losing the account and perhaps proving Endora correct. Samantha decides to...

To get Tabatha to sleep on the night before Halloween, Samantha reads a Halloween story to her, that story which contains a magical goblin, gremlin and Jack O'Lantern. Although Samantha believes the story has gotten Tabatha to sleep, it has instead got her excited about new friends, the gremlin, goblin and Jack O'Lantern which she zaps out of the book into real life. On Halloween night, Samantha takes Tabatha out trick or treating while Darrin stays at home. Tabatha's three new friends join Samantha and Tabatha, Samantha who believes they are just three mortal children. Thu, Nov 2, 196730 mins
Samantha and Darrin receive two unexpected visitors, Aunt Clara and Darrin's mother, the latter who says indirectly that she has left Mr. Stephens as he continually accuses her of an overactive imagination. The latest incident involved what she believed was lipstick on his collar, but which he countered was a stain from a careless waiter spilling food. Samantha and Darrin are less concerned about the senior Stephens' marital problems than what witchcraft Aunt Clara might do in front of Mrs. Stephens. They needn't have worried about that as the problem Aunt Clara creates is witchcraft done out of Mrs. Stephens' sight. In trying to fix Darrin's home movie of Samantha and Tabatha where the picture and sound were out of sync, Aunt Clara did fix the problem, but in turn caused Samantha's own voice to be occasionally out of sync with the movement of her mouth. Getting Mrs. Stephens out of the house and back home is now more imperative before she sees Samantha in her current condition. What's worse is what Dr. Bombay might do in front of Mrs. Stephens, he the only person who may be able to cure Samantha if Aunt Clara can't figure out the proper reversing incantation.

Complications ensue when Louise sees Samantha at the house when she should be in Chicago. Louise passes the news to Larry who apologizes to Springer for Samantha not being able to make the trip to Chicago. Springer, in turn, believes the woman who Darrin brought to lunch was his mistress, and as such, decides to drop McMann & Tate unless Darrin is fired. Samantha and Darrin don't know how to handle the situation as they don't want to accuse Louise of being a liar, yet they can't prove to an incensed Springer that she really is Darrin's wife. They need a little luck to get them out of this situation without Darrin having to look for another job.

Although Samantha is uncertain how to approach the party - western or Japanese styled - the one definite hit for Mishimoto is the fourth of four at dinner: Aunt Clara. She was feeling a bit low as she had just broken up - again - with her longtime boyfriend, Ockie. One of the primary attractions of Aunt Clara to Mishimoto is that she reminds him of his deceased wife. The fact of Aunt Clara and Mishimoto becoming an item causes some problems which may not be able to be rectified. On the one hand, Aunt Clara is taking up all of Mishimoto's time, he who has no desire to talk business while on his short visit to New York as he would rather spend that time with Aunt Clara. And if Samantha is able to get Aunt Clara to drop Mishimoto - how she would plan to do so is to call Ockie - Mishimoto would not want to do business with McMann & Tate because he would have lost face due to Aunt Clara's association with them.

A thankful Darrin uses the power of the charm to try and restore his good name, both with his company, and with Mr. Markham, the bank president. What Darrin is unaware of but what Samantha knows perfectly well after the fact is that there is no such thing as a lucky charm. Darrin downplays the honor, despite McMann & Tate planning to host a cocktail party in his honor, and he wanting to celebrate with Samantha with a night on the town. Endora believes that under that surface of humility lies an egomaniac. As such, she places a spell around him where every mortal will agree with what he says, no matter how bad the idea, to see how he reacts. Darrin ends up loving the fact that clients, politicians and even Mr. McMann love what he says, so much so that he comes to believe he is unstoppable. It isn't until Samantha is in his company with his business associates at the cocktail party and she sees the reaction of those around him that she figures out what's going on. The questions then become how Darrin will react to him not being the golden boy he thought he was, and how he will continue to impress those around him in the future.

Late one evening, Samantha notices Gladys Kravitz standing outside in her bed clothes with a suitcase trying to hitch a ride. Samantha learns from her that she and Abner had a marriage ending fight, that she is trying to get a ride to a hotel (since Abner wouldn't let her call a cab as it is a toll call), and that she is planning on heading to Mexico the following day to get a quickie divorce. Believing that the Kravitzes still love each other but need time to cool down and reflect, Samantha offers Mrs. Kravitz their guest room for the night, which she accepts. This move does not sit well with Darrin, who believes they should not meddle, and who becomes irked with Mrs. Kravitz for exactly the same reason that Mr. Kravitz is: her health food regimen, which she lectures him about and serves him as opposed to feeding him what he considers real food. As time passes, Mrs. Kravitz does not seem eager to leave, and Mr. Kravitz seems happy without his wife, or at least without her health food. So Darrin reluctantly allows Samantha to use a little witchcraft to bring the Kravitzes back together by showing them that they still love each other. Samantha's plan entails conjuring up Henry Fonda, or at least Mrs. Kravitz's version of the famous actor.
