His second partner, mother of sometimes visiting city boy son Kyle, having left, resourceful, tireless Ben turned into a regular Robinson Crusoe, except for bartering beer for fishermen's catch and teaming up with the local Aboriginal tribe.

Ben can make head nor tail of his mix of Spartan lack of comfort and state of the art security, from guns to alarm cameras, until he realizes the region is infested with drug gangs. The senior Yankee, who came seek solitude and broke with his family, nevertheless joins what social life there is, even in church.
