Not only does Batman have to capture Man-Bat in order to save Langstrom, but also to clear his name from the police.

Batman must stop Mr. Freeze, an ice themed villain who has a grudge on Ferris Boyle the CEO of Goth Corp. Batman soon learns the tragic story about Mr. Freeze, his real name is revealed to be Victor Fries who was a brilliant scientist and he has secretly used the company's funding in hopes of saving his wife Nora from a terminal illness. Boyle tries to shut down Victor's project, but it doesn't go as planned when Victor is turned into Mr. Freeze and Boyle leaves his former employee and Nora for dead. Mr. Freeze reveals to Batman that he plans on ruining Boyle's banquet party as revenge for not letting him save his wife. During an ensuing fight with the ice villain, Batman becomes sympathetic over Victor's plight and he hands over a video tape of Boyle's misdeeds to a news reporter. Batman leaves the party and he sarcastically says goodbye to Boyle. Mr. Freeze is soon taken to prison and he sadly looks at his snow globe of Nora, causing Batman to look on in pity.

Joker escapes Arkham and makes a bee-line to The Joker's Wild casino to blow it up, while Bruce Wayne dons his cape and cowl and discovers Cameron Kaiser's real motive for building it. When Joker arrives he gets duped out in a card game by Bruce Wayne, then dodges Batman via his old Jokermobile before getting to work in earnest to blow up the casino. Batman meanwhile confronts Kaiser, but is knocked out via electric shock and dumped into the Joker's lap. Now tied to a gigantic roulette wheel, Batman recovers enough to warn Joker that Kaiser intends for him to destroy the casino for a massive insurance payment, causing Joker to go after Kaiser while leaving behind enough explosive to finish off Batman.
