Derek meets an old acquaintance who he has not seen in fifty years who has a 1912 De Dion Bouton to be collected for auction. After the sale, the buyer has problems getting the car to run properly. Also for sale is a miniature traditional travellers' caravan.
Episode 9
Derek collects several ex-Soviet Union vehicles which are being sold to raise money for a Ukraine charity - a GAZ Volga car and three motorcycle sidecar outfits - a 650cc Ural, a 350cc Planeta and a 750cc side valve outfit from the 1950s. Also on sale is a Peugeot 205 1.9 litre GTi which has not run in twenty years and a home-built replica Alvis roadster.
Episode 10
Two AA motorcycle sidecar combinations plus a BSA Bantam in AA colours are sold. Derek collects four cars - a couple of Austin-Healey roadsters, a Mini Countryman and an Austin 7 van. A single-seater racer is sold and the buyer of a MG racer realises that the car he has bought needs more work than expected.
Episode 11
From one seller, a Yamaha DT 125 trail bike and three Lambretta scooters go under the hammer. Derek is impressed by a very original 1952 Morris Minor. A Ford Sierra RS Cosworth in very original condition sells for £78k. An Albion lorry kitted out as a mobile shop selling ironmongery and household goods goes under the hammer.
Episode 12
An Audi Quattro Turbo sells for £53k. Two pristine Fords, a Granada Mk II Ghia 2.8 litre and a Cortina Mk IV sell for £19,750 and £15,850 respectively. From Bridlington, Derek collects a Yamaha XT250 trailbike, a Francis Barnet Plover 150cc, two carousel novelty seats and buys for himself a traditional wooden armchair.
Episode 13
A 1992 Lotus Esprit Turbo sells for £21k. A collection of four cars and a motorcycle goes under the hammer - Nissan Mitsuoka Viewt (£2k), Volvo P1800E (£8900), Wolseley Hornet (£3k), 1960 MGA 1000 (£14k). No info on the motorcycle, an AJS twin (650cc?). Two cars from a collection also feature - Sunbeam Rapier (£6700), and a Hillman Husky Estate (£4200).
Episode 14
The Mathewsons go rallying in Yorkshire. A 1953 AJS motorcycle sells for £2,500. A 1991 Ford Fiesta XR2i, off the road for about twenty years, sells for £3,900. From a Lincolnshire collection, a show-worthy hay wain sells for £3,600; a Garner tractor goes for £380; a mid 1960s Humber Sceptre sells for £8,800; and, based on a Ford Popular, a vintage-looking car, similar to the one driven by Tom Baker in his Dr Who era, sells for £4,100.
Episode 15
A 1989 Reliant Robin LX 1.4 raises £2,500 for the Sheffield Children's Hospital. A 1968 BSA Bantam with custom built sidecar and trailer complete with spares and camping gear sells for a provisional £2400. A Triumph enthusiast buys three Triumphs - a restored 1949 2000 Roadster, a restored Renown and a work-in-progress "woody" Estate for £22,400, £12,500 and £1,200 respectively. Amongst the memorabilia, a Rolls Royce mascot sells for £240 and a Vauxhall Wyvern mascot sells for £110.
