Thanks to Grizzo's low-flying helicopter Nicky and Steve's chimney needs repairing so Steve responds to a flyer from a builder called Honest John, who proves to be just that and an excellent worker. However, when he finds a colony of endangered bats in the roof his honesty gets a little bit too much for the beleaguered couple.

Big Deal

Pete lies to influential new web-site client Imelda Stratton that he has renovated his home into a dream house but panics when she asks to visit and see it. Fortunately neighbours Matt and Meena are in Greece and ask him to house-sit so Steve passes it off as his own. Unfortunaetly the owners return early.

Episode 3

Local Hero

The whole village are united in their opposition to a proposed fracking scheme. Grizzo organises a fund-raising event and it looks like the locals will win but an unexpected development presents Nicky and Steve with a dilemma.

Episode 4

Speed Trap

Steve gets his driving license back and promises never to speed again. Even Grizzo's bragging and Alice conning Steve into taking her shopping can't tempt him to break the speed limit and Steve offers to give Ken a lift to a ceremony.

Episode 5

Food Fight

Nicky and Steve get roped into taking part in a charity dining event organised by their insufferable neighbours Matt and Meena. The couple's efforts come in for some robust criticism so when Matt and Meena play host the gloves are off.

Episode 6

Village Idiot

Nicky's daughter Zoe comes to stay after breaking up with her boyfriend and takes a shine to Bronson. Steve is chosen to play a key role in The Lantern Man Festival, a village tradition whose origins have been lost in the mists of time.

Episode 7

Christmas Special: Festive Cheer

Steve and Nicky's children can't come for Christmas this year so they decide to give it a miss. They invite Meena, Matt, Alice and Ken for Christmas eve drinks. They all get drunk and snowed in and have to stay the night. Grizzo comes to the rescue the next day with food, presents and a glitter cannon, which he later regrets bringing.
