Episode 1

Michael anticipates becoming the new president of his father's homebuilding company, having put up with his family for years in order to achieve it. Instead, the position is given to his mother, Lucille-just before his father George Sr. is arrested by the SEC. When his family proves unable to run the company, Michael reluctantly returns to help. Meanwhile, Gob's magic career is derailed and George Michael develops a crush on his cousin Maeby.

The banana stand has burned down and flashbacks reveal the events that led to its destruction: Michael tries to get George Sr. to let him run the company himself. Maeby joins George Michael working at the banana stand, where she steals money from the till. George Michael sets it on fire, with Michael's permission. They do not realise that it is not insured due to Gob not mailing a letter to the insurance company and Michael is informed by George Sr. that there was $250,000 within the walls of the stand. Michael builds a new stand out of wood. Tobias auditions for a commercial but the role is given to Lindsay instead.

Lucille suggests that Buster be included in the family activities, but Buster is reluctant to leave his mother's apartment in hopes of avoiding Lucille 2. Meanwhile, Tobias takes over the directing duties for the high school play to rather disastrous results.

Gob attempts to break out of prison in a publicity stunt to further his magic career. While Gob is locked up, Michael agrees to accompany Gob's girlfriend Marta to an awards show, where he begins to fall for her. Meanwhile, Lindsay attempts to save an old tree from being demolished by the Bluth Company.

During a heat wave, Michael discovers that his siblings have been hiding his father's Mercedes from him. Lindsay chastises him for not doing anything charitable so he picks up a woman, Helen, whom he thinks is his mother's new housekeeper Lupe. Lindsay, who has conversely been chastised by Michael decides to volunteer to clean up the wetlands. She finds herself horribly out of her comfort zone and calls Michael to pick her up. She finds her cab but forgets to call Michael, who shows up with Helen. Helen flees and Michael goes to the Save the Wetlands Bachelorette Auction to support his mother. He sees that Lindsay, sunburnt and in ill-shape, did try to be charitable and saves her from humiliation by bidding $1,000 on her. When Michael finds that Gob has been hiding the family car and taking free frozen bananas from the Banana Stand he tells him off in front of George Michael. When Kitty tells Michael that George never filed some building permits, George tells Michael to have Gob break into the Permit Office to misfile them. Michael asks his brother, who demands Michael tell George Michael to respect his uncle. He also gives up animation rights for his newly invented Mr. Bananagrabber character. After chipping a tooth on a carmel apple, he whistles when he speaks and blows his cover at the permit office. He delegates the task to George Michael and Maeby. They are caught by security guards but George Michael lets Maeby escape so he can take the heat. Lucille prepares for the Save the Wetlands Bachelorette Auction and instructs Buster to bid $10,000 on her so she can show-up her social rival Lucille Austero. Lucille 2 has been waiting for Buster to make a romantic gesture toward her, but he is terrified of her so he has been hiding. Lucille tries to lure Lucille 2 away from the auction with The Producers tickets but when Buster refuses to call her back she decides to go to the auction. Buster, running late, runs into the auction when he hears the word "Lucille" and bids $10,000 on the wrong Lucille.

Needing information from George Sr.'s secretary Kitty, Michael attempts to use her crush on Gob to get it. Meanwhile, Tobias and Lindsay attend couples therapy and George Michael attempts to conquer his fear of visiting George Sr. in prison.

Meanwhile, Lindsay and Maeby investigate the whereabouts of their grandmother, and Lucille's newly adopted Korean son Annyong annoys the family.

He enlists Gob to throw a party, where he will try to make Ira flee the country to avoid testifying. Michael and his son plan a fishing trip, while Tobias wants to reunite a folk band he formed with Lindsay and Maeby to promote pharmaceuticals.

The family goes to the hospital to visit, but learns that George Sr. has made an elaborate escape. Michael decides that he's had enough, and he and George-Michael decide to pack up and head to Phoenix.
