An Oriental Odyssey
The story takes place in the capital of Luoyang and follows four young heroes who rely on their bravery and intelligence to solve the mysteries during the Tang Dynasty. Ye Yuanan (Janice Wu) is the daughter of a public official who considers herself a champion against injustices. While tracking down a murder suspect, she crosses paths with head constable Zhao Lanzhi (Zhang Yujian). They join hands to solve the case which becomes the foundation for their friendship and a blooming romance. Yuanan comes across a mysterious man, Mu Le (Zheng Yecheng). He suffers from amnesia so she takes him in as a servant. Mu Le is extremely loyal to Yuanan and his uncompromising devotion towards her becomes one of his adorable qualities. The three learn to form a great teamwork as they tackle every case that comes their way and even unravels the conspiracy surrounding the imperial advisor Tian Qiao (Liu Tianzuo). Meanwhile, Tian Qiao's disciple Princess Minghui (Dong Qi) has fallen madly in love with Zhao Lanzhi. Will the four young heroes work through their problems in time to save the day?
