Yin Guo went to Hull to attend this year's World 9-ball Open. Her cousin, Meng Xiaotian who was holding a plan of acquiring his PhD degree abroad came along for some campus tours and also sightseeing. Unfortunately, a terrible snowstorm occurred the day they arrived. With all the hotels fully-booked, they could only take shelter in a bar called Red Fish. While Yin was busy making calls in order to find an empty room, Meng made friends with two international students from Chine who happened to be in the bar. They were Lin Yiyang and Wu Wei. Lin fell in love with Yin at first sight. With Yin's friend Zheng Yi's help, an affordable empty room was eventually found. Lin purposed to lend Yin and her cousin a ride, even with a detour. The next day, Yin and Meng thought it was a good idea to return the favor, but later on, they were informed that Lin had returned to Hursin where he studied at. Without having Yin acknowledged, Meng booked the tickets to Hursin. Yin got no other option but to go to Hursin with Meng. In fact, Lin went back to Hursin only to avoid meeting with He Jia, the daughter of his coach. With Wu's persuasion, Lin decided to return to Hull. Before returning, he called someone to take care of Yin and Meng. At Wu's place, Lin, Wu and Jia were having a meal together. This time, Jia was here to ask a favor for Lin's old friend Jiang Yang, but Lin seemed to be resistant about reconnecting to his past.
