Episode 1

Sarah

49 mins

14 year old Amber Bailey lives in Dublin with her mother Sarah and younger brother Eamon. Sarah has recently parted from the children's father Ben, who runs a security firm but is still on good terms with him. Ben drops Amber off at a friend's house though it becomes apparent that she never got there and the police are called, DI Dunlop leading the investigation. CCTV shows Amber getting on a train, holding a bag, but when Sarah retraces the journey it comes to nothing and the bag is found in a river. Months elapse with no constructive leads and Sarah reluctantly allows her journalist friend to write an article on the disappearance. The result is emotive and sensationally-worded, angering Sarah though Maeve believes it may encourage a genuine witness to come forward.

Being Eve

2 Seasons
Being Eve is something completely different and original - a fresh, up-beat, light-hearted look at early teen life as seen through the eyes of a fifteen-year-old girl. Teenagers are moving into the 21st Century with an array of media, and Eve sees it as her role on the planet to somehow make sense of this confusion. It's like Eve has a video camera in her head as she rewinds, pauses, and slows or speeds things up, whenever she feels the need to examine something in a different way. As she says herself, life's a documentary and she's behind the camera. Being Eve will go where no teen drama has gone before - flicking easily from drama to documentary, to fantasy sequences, animation, stills, computer graphics, music video clips and whatever stylistic means best communicate Eve's thoughts and dilemmas. Eve observes. Eve philosophizes. Eve tries not to get involved, but her burning curiosity means that sometimes she just can't help it, usually with amusing consequences.
