In the hospital, where the toys are handed out, Alf meets Tiffany, a very sweet, but very sick girl.

Alf rushes back to Tiffany and decides to stay with her for a while. When he finally leaves her, he gets lost in the hospital and gets stuck in the elevator together with a young lady in labor. While in the elevator, Alf helps the soon-to-be mother to bring her child to the world. Alf gets back into Mr Fowleys truck after learning that Mr. Fowley gives away all his belongings because his wife recently passed. He plans to end his life because he cannot be without his life. Thankfully, Alf intervenes. Meanwhile, the Tanners are out in the woods looking for Alf and miss him very much. When they are reunited, the Christmas becomes a truly special Christmas.

It is quickly apparent that Willie does not like the new position (i.e. he ended up firing someone, but felt bad about it when he got home) and that he really likes their current home, but the family continues with the moving process regardless. Alf finally has to go through extreme lengths to make Willie and the rest realize what they're doing and make them come to their senses.
