For bigger game, they advertise fifty cent steaks and free coffee to hijack trucks carrying valuable merchandise. After two hijackings, Lois Lane comes upon the "town" and is captured. Now, Clark Kent, Jimmy Olsen and Inspector Bill Henderson are trying to track her down. After they, too, are incarcerated, Clark turns into Superman to shut down the criminal operation.

When one of the Planet's warehouses catches fire Superman arrives in time to stop it. Later Perry learns that a large payroll he placed in the safe, is not there. So the insurance company refuses to pay, claiming that the fire was deliberately set to cover up the money's disappearance, which Perry knows he didn't do. So he sets out to find out who did. What he or anyone doesn't know is that a couple of guys who call themselves "The Firemen's Friend" because they go to fires and serve coffee and donuts to the firemen, were the ones who stole the money by using a fireproof suit and a special hearing aid that can help them open any safe. When Perry runs into them, he notices a few things that are odd.

Professor Pepperwinkle goes to see Lois and tells her he has developed a means to send things through the telephone line. She balks at it. The gang member lives with the Professor and tells him would he like to try it and when he sees what it could he tells his boss who thinks this could be the alibi they need. So they commit more crimes and use the Professor's machine to establish their alibis. Lois remembering what the Professor said goes to see him but find the criminals there and decides to get rid of them.

The Prince Albert Coat

A boy hears a plea on the radio for people to donate clothing to flood victims. So he donates his grandfather's coat. Later, when his grandfather learns what he did, he freaks out, because he had placed his life savings in the lining. His grandson then goes to the Daily Planet and tells Lois what happened. She decides to print the story hoping someone will help. The two men who picked up the clothing for the drive, who are also crooks, read the story and go to get the coat. Eventually Lois gets a lead, so she, Jimmy, and the boy also set out to get the coat. When they arrive at the center, they find someone has already taken the coat. When they find out where he is, the two crooked men show up and pretend to be trying to help. The crooks lock up Lois, Jimmy, and the boy while they go after the coat. Clark, upon learning where Lois is, follows.

The Stolen Elephant

The elephant of a circus who's loved by children everywhere, is suppose to be brought by Superman to children. But problem is that the elephant was taken. The owner awaits for their demands. The men who took the elephant stashes it in a deserted farm house. What they don't know is that a woman and her son moved in. The boy sees the elephant and is taken with it. The men return and says the elephant is their even shows him a document that says the elephant is theirs. Later the boy reads the paper and learns about the elephant being taken from the circus. So he goes to the Daily Planet and along with Lois, Jimmy and Superman try to find the elephant. The men make plans to get the money and keep Superman away. And it works and they appear to get away with it till Superman remembers something that leads him to them.

Mr. Zero

The Daily Planet gets a strange visitor who turns out to be a rejected citizen from Mars. It is discovered Mr Zero has a talent that attracts the attention of some local gangsters who draw Mr Zero into their gang.
