Episode 1
"Deep and Crisp and Even" tells the tale of a lady who lives in a snow covered cottage, freezing, stuck in her own wintry Groundhog Day and shunned as an oddity by everyone. It takes a small, quiet man with a mouth full of astoundingly ugly teeth to save her from a wintry fate.
Episode 2
"The Walkers" tells the tale of when some lovers are kept apart by feuds, religion, race and war. Some are kept apart by large dogs with small brains and small dogs with big barks. At a British beach in December, the only people foolish enough to be out are dog walkers.
Episode 3
"Ding Dong" tells the tale of when a young couple, have a new home, and also a baby on the way. Their stress levels rise, and after a seriously silly argument, Joe decides to pedal his woes away. Gemma, who wants to make amends, decides to give Joe a call on his mobile.
Episode 4
He"Let It Snow" tells the tale of Paul lives on his BlackBerry device. Paul is hardly ever off his device - he is either closing deals or making them. All his spouse Clare and his daughter Faye want is for Paul to turn the wretched thing off and make some time for his family.

A group of living statues that show themselves to the public daily are being ignored. Bill Nighy's character, having nothing else to do, approaches them and one member of the living statues decides to gently stalk him. He doesn't suspect this, although she's hiding in places around him. Finally, she inappropriately reveals herself with a sparkly lit up kitchen. Bill Nighy realizes he's in love with a different statue, so he leaves her, only to take her place as a living statue, to be with the one he loves.

It's just before Christmas, and at one of London's busiest rail stations, people are hurrying to and from trains, needing to be in the right place for the celebrations. Amongst them is Dog, trying to latch on to someone, anyone. Dog is alone...

"Through the Window" tells the tale of when a young soldier, who has been away at war, returns to find his lover has been killed in the Blitz, but their child has survived the blast. As he and the child grow older, we see that her ghostly presence has not left their home.

"Syncing" tells the tale of when a man (Peter Capaldi) wakes from a warm dream of domestic bliss, finding that there is something wrong with his ears. What he sees and what he hears does not match up. And when they do, they are the wrong sounds. His world is out of sync.
Episode 10
A child is born in uncompromising circumstances to a girl who cannot cope, and walks away. The baby is picked up by an unlikely, modern-day angel: a hoodie with time on his hands, and a desire to give the baby the happy ending it deserves. Following the guiding lights of the youngster's mother, the pair embark on a memorable journey in this story of love, hope and redemption.

"The Running of the Deer" tells the tale of when it is Christmas morning and Liam sets off to visit his daughter. Liam's Christmas spirit is quickly eroded by the rudeness of those that he encounters; but then a moment of sharing restores his faith in the holiday spirit that Christmas may bring.
