After her latest job goes awry, a thief (Doherty) heads to her hometown in Connecticut to lay low over the Christmas holiday. Can the spirit of the holiday, combined with a stint babysitting her niece and nephew, rid her of her wicked ways?

Slip (Leo Gorcey) narrates that he and Sach (Huntz Hall) were copy boys on the 'Daily Chronicle" when their police-detective friend, Gabe Moreno (Gabriel Dell(I))was shot during a holdup by The Loop Gang, and another officer killed. During their investigation, Slip accidentally wins the respect of gangster "Angles" (Mickey Knox) when he gets out of a prearranged police pickup. The Loop Gang pull another robbery and mobster Bertie Spangler (Pepe Hern) for bungling a job. Slip then realizes that "Angles" and his mob are responsible for the crime wave. Through "Angles" and "Miami" (Richard Benedict), Slip and Sach meet Carver (Edward Ryan), real leader of the gang, and his vampish girl friend Vickie (Jean Dean) who immediately "goes for" Slip. His pals Butch (Bennie Bartlett), Chuck (David Gorcey, and Whitey (William 'Billy' Benedict) dress like gangsters and convince Carver they are mobsters, and malt-shop owner Louie Bernard Gorcey) pretends to be their contact man. The Bowery Boys then set out to bring the gang to justice.

Geeta (Waheeda Rehman) and Madan (Kamaljit) are in love with each other and want to marry. However, the pandit reports to Madan's mom that the marriage will be ill-fated, and bad things will result for Madan and his family. Madan's mom is opposed to the marriage, however, Madan and Geeta are not superstitious and are determine to marry each other. They do get married, and then one disaster after another befalls Madan's family, his dad, his sister, and his younger brother; which leaves both Geeta and Madan wondering if more disasters are to follow them, and if the Pandit's prophecy is indeed true.

Upon first sight, Julie discovers her new student is one of the assistant curators at the museum with who she had earlier had a somewhat awkward discussion regarding she potentially working there. Busy Dan, reluctant to enter into the lessons, is more practical than romantic in his relationships, he dealing with Cosette solely in those areas common to the two of them, namely in English and around museums, she who works at one in Paris, which is how they originally met. In believing one learns better if it applies to them, Julie ends up also coaching Dan in how to be more romantic in how it would apply to Cosette, he eventually discovering that she would like him to exhibit that side of himself to her. As Julie starts to fall for Dan, and it seems he for her, their path forward may hit the further roadblocks of Cosette, and of her goal of working at the museum.
