CBS has found its new MacGyver.

X-Men star Lucas Till has been tapped to play the crafty secret agent in CBS' upcoming MacGyver reboot.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Till will take on the role originated by Richard Dean Anderson in the series that ran from 1985 to 1992. The MacGyver reboot will follow a 20-something Angus MacGyver as he's recruited and joins a clandestine government organization, where he uses his skills at improvising solutions to save the day.

Till, who will also be seen as Havok in the upcoming movieX-Men: Apocalypse, joins Joshua Boone in the reboot. Boone has been cast as Gunner, MacGyver's best friend.

MacGyver is executive-produced by Henry Winkler (who also produced the original series), Michael Clear and James Wan, who directedSaw and Furious 7and probably never predicted he would ever work on a TV show with the Fonz.
