Here's what the internet had to say about the inaugural champions
That Boss 'n' Hug Connection reign just won't let up!
Sasha Banks and Bayley made history during Sunday night's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event when they became the WWE's first-ever Women's Tag Team Champions. As one half of the famed Four Horsewomen dynasty, the win was expected but no less meaningful. The pair beat out Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose, Nia Jax and Tamina, The Riott Squad's Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan, The IIconics, and Naomi and Carmella in an elimination-style match to win the inaugural titles.
The historic win is the latest in a series of firsts from the trailblazing duo. Back in 2014, Bayley and Banks broke ground when they competed in the first-ever 30-minute Iron Woman match in the main event of NXT TakeOver: Respect. They also fought in the inaugural women's battle royal at the Royal Rumble in 2018 as well as the first-ever all-women pay per view Evolution later that year.

Acknowledging their contributions to this current evolution of the women's division, which is the most competitive it's ever been, WWE boss Stephanie McMahon gave the pair a heartfelt shout out via Twitter. "Congratulations @itsBayleyWWE & @SashaBanksWWE, the 1st ever @WWE #WomensTagTeamChampions! And to every woman who competed in that match - your heart & souls are still out there! You all made this movement & moment happen!" the WWE's Chief Brand Officer wrote.
McMahon wasn't the only one to get emotional over the groundbreaking win. Here's what Twitter had to say about Bayley and Banks becoming the WWE's inaugural Women's Tag Team Champions.
They paved the way for tonight. Sasha and Bayley deserve everything! #WWEChamber

The Women's chamber honestly couldn't have had a wrong winner. I am stoked that Sasha and Bayley are first because Wrestlers of Color rarely get to do anything first in WWE. #WWEChamber
