White Collar Promotes Hilarie Burton to Series Regular

Hilarie Burton will join the cast of White Collar full-time as a series regular next season, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Burton, 28, has recurred on the USA caper since the beginning of Season 2. Burton plays Sara Ellis, an insurance company investigator who once testified against Neal (Matt Bomer). Although she looks at Neal as the thief who got away, she has since begun helping him and Peter (Tim DeKay) in their investigation of the mysterious music box.

Burton formerly starred on One Tree Hill and was once an MTV VJ on Total Request Live.

White Collar was renewed for Season 3 in September and currently airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on USA.
