There are few things the crowds at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center in Queens love more than a hometown (or homeland) hero. Spectators were fully behind American Taylor Fritz in last year's men's finals, though he fell short to Jannik Sinner, who's currently ranked number one in the world. Things have been better for Americans on the women's side of the competition, both recently and historically. Last year, Jessica Pegula nearly bested Aryna Sabalenka in the finals, and in 2023, the then 19-year-old Coco Gauff took home the crown. This weekend, the world will be watching to see if another American can capture a title. To witness these triumphant moments in the making, here's where to watch the U.S. Open Tennis Finals.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 01: Coco Gauff of the United States returns a shot against Naomi Osaka of Japan during their Women's Singles Fourth Round match on Day Nine of the 2025 US Open at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on September 1, 2025 in the Flushing neighborhood of the Queens borough of New York City.
Sarah Stier/Getty ImagesPegula's road to the 2025 women's championship will surely be a challenging one. To reach the final dance, she'll need to beat Sabalenka (the same player who defeated her last year) in the semifinals. Whoever prevails in that matchup will await either the surging Naomi Osaka or the Florida-born Amanda Anisimova. As tends to be the case, it's the American women with the best shot at making history in front of their home crowd.
Meanwhile, the men's championship will be difficult to predict, with two favorites in Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz competing in the semifinals. One, of course, will need to go before likely contending with Sinner, the reigning U.S. Open champ.
With once-dominant greats like Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams, and Roger Federer now out of the picture, Grand Slam events have become increasingly shocking, with players seemingly emerging from nowhere to write their names in the record books. What will happen this year is anyone's guess, but one thing's for sure: You'll be able to watch every second of the thrilling action.
The U.S. Open women's singles finals will take place on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 4 p.m. ET and air on ESPN. The men's singles finals will occur the next day, on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. and air on ABC. Here are all your options for getting the coverage on your favorite screen.
