The Stanley Cup Finals 2025 arrived with a bang in Game 1, when the Edmonton Oilers edged out the Florida Panthers in a tight 4–3 contest. That nail-biter set the tone for what's been another electric series between these two rivals. Given last year's rollercoaster of a final — where the Panthers won three straight, then dropped three in a row to the Oilers before clinching the Cup in Game 7 — it's no surprise this rematch has been a battle of inches. Edmonton clearly came in hungry for revenge, and while they struck first, they couldn't keep the momentum in Game 2, falling 5–4 to the defending champs.

Now, as the series pushes forward, the Panthers have the upper hand. Their Game 5 victory — a composed and clinical 5–2 performance on the road — put them one win away from back-to-back titles. Game 6, set for Tuesday, June 17, could be the end of the line for Edmonton — or the spark that forces another unforgettable Game 7 showdown back in Alberta. Given the Oilers' flair for the dramatic, it wouldn't be out of character.

So, can the Oilers claw their way back again? Or will the Panthers shut the door and cement their growing legacy? Here's everything you need to know about where to watch the 2025 Stanley Cup Finals.

The Oilers seem to be on a path of destruction this postseason, intent on avoiding a repeat of last year's near-epic comeback falling just short. In the first round of the playoffs, they lost the first two games against the Los Angeles Kings before rebounding to secure four-straight victories. Then came another comeback against the Vegas Golden Knights in the second round, followed by yet another from-behind effort to eliminate the Dallas Stars in the conference finals. If there's one thing Edmonton seems to do better than almost anyone, it's clawing their way back into contention when it looks like they're done for — a hockey habit they've turned into an art form.

But the Panthers certainly won't slink away quietly into the night. This year's roster is deeper than ever, with nearly 20 different players having earned at least one goal. Their defense has tightened up too, allowing fewer shots and holding their own against some of the league's most high-powered offenses. After capturing their first-ever Stanley Cup just last season, the Panthers now find themselves one win away from a repeat — an opportunity to evolve their story from champions to potential dynasty, placing their name alongside hockey's greatest. But can they close it out against an Edmonton squad that plays like every shift is life or death?

Can the Oilers play spoiler and extend the series once more? Or are the Panthers just one game away from finishing what they started? However it ends, every second of this series has been must-watch hockey — and it's not over yet.
