The 2024 Seattle Mariners season started with promise, only to end in disappointment. Seattle held a ten-game lead in the American League West in mid-June, but their offensive struggles allowed the Houston Astros to pass them in the standings. Even a late-season managerial change could not prevent the Mariners from missing the postseason for the 22nd time in the last 23 seasons. Now that we're headed into a new season, it's time to learn where to watch Seattle Mariners games in 2025.

Steph Chambers/Getty ImagesDespite their untimely struggles, there were several bright spots for the Mariners in 2024. The team had one of the most effective starting rotations in the big leagues, highlighted by stellar performances from young arms like Bryce Miller, Logan Gilbert, and George Kirby. On the offensive side, Cal Raleigh led all major league catchers with 34 home runs.
Seattle's lineup came alive in September, ranking third in the majors in both OPS and runs scored during the month. If Julio Rodriguez can regain his Silver Slugger form, the Mariners might find themselves in the postseason hunt again.
Most Mariners games can be found on the regional network Root Sports Northwest. You can also occasionally find them on national networks like ESPN, FOX, TBS, and FS1. If you're hoping to stream live Mariners games this season, here is a guide to all the ways you can catch them in action.
Signing up for the DIRECTV STREAM Choice plan (around $105.98/month) gives you access to over 125 channels, including Root Sports Northwest. With this plan, you can also watch the Mariners when they are featured on national channels like FOX, FS1, ESPN, and TBS. The Choice plan includes specialty sports networks like MLB Network, NBA TV, and SEC Network. Main DIRECTV STREAM plans now also come with Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN Unlimited.
Root Sports Northwest is featured in the slightly more expensive Ultimate plan as well. This plan gives you everything you get with the Choice plan, plus additional channels like NHL Network, FOX Sports 2, and the FX Movie Channel.
One last thing to consider: DIRECTV STREAM's Genre Packs are ideal for fans who want a more tailored live TV setup. The MySports pack is $69.99/month and includes over 20 sports-focused channels, making it a great fit for MLB fans and more. You'll also get ESPN Unlimited bundled in for free, adding extra value without extra effort.
DIRECTV STREAM offers unlimited Cloud DVR storage and the ability to stream on unlimited devices. Prices vary by location, so check the DIRECTV website before committing to a subscription.
Fubo is another great platform for streaming Mariners games. The Fubo Pro plan includes Root Sports Northwest among over 200 channels. Choosing this plan also allows you to see the Mariners when they are on national networks like FOX, FS1, and ESPN. Currently, this plan is being offered at a discount for the first month, after which the price increases to $84.99/month.
If you live outside the Mariners TV market, you can still watch the M's by adding an MLB.TV subscription to your Fubo plan for an extra $29.99/month. Another add-on, called Sports Lite, includes additional channels like MLB Network, NBA TV, and the Tennis Channel. This add-on costs just $9.99/month.
You can also opt for the new Fubo Sports, a smaller plan with around 28 sports-related channels.
Unfortunately for Mariners fans, Root Sports Northwest is not included with Hulu + Live TV, which now starts at $89.99/month. However, fans can still see their favorite club when they appear on channels like ESPN, FOX, TBS, and FS1. If you want even more sports content, you can buy the Sports Add-on for $9.99/month. Included in the Sports Add-on are channels like Strike Zone, NFL RedZone, and FanDuel Racing. Plus, you'll also get Hulu, Disney+, ESPN Select, and ESPN Unlimited included.
A Hulu + Live TV subscription gets you unlimited Cloud DVR storage, plus access to Hulu's expansive on-demand library of television shows and movies. Sports fans can tape live programming, then fast forward when watching the recorded show.
Sling TV offers standalone plans with ESPN and FS1, but the only way to get both channels is with the Sling Orange & Blue plan. A Sling subscription won't give you access to the majority of Mariners games, but it is a cheap way to catch them on the occasional national broadcast. Among the benefits of Sling TV is 50 hours worth of DVR storage, which you can upgrade to unlimited storage for an extra fee. Prices for Sling TV vary by region and change often, so do your homework before making a selection.
Sling now also offers day, week, and weekend passes.
You may already be aware that Apple TV has a library full of movies and award-winning TV shows like Severance. However, you should also know that Apple TV is also home to national baseball broadcasts every Friday night. The Mariners were featured on several Apple TV broadcasts last year, so check the schedule to see when they might appear on the service.
Fortunately for baseball fans, Apple TV broadcasts are not subject to typical MLB blackout restrictions. You can purchase an Apple TV subscription for just $12.99/month, and there is also a seven-day free trial.
If you live outside the Seattle TV market, consider purchasing an MLB.TV via Prime Video subscription. This subscription gives you access to out-of-market broadcasts for all 30 teams. MLB.TV subscribers can also watch content from the MLB streaming library, including documentaries, classic programs, and World Series films.
MLB.TV has a seven-day free trial and costs $29.99/month.
Traveling or living outside the U.S. but still want to catch the Mariners in action? A VPN can help you stream games just like you would at home. Services like ExpressVPN, Private Internet Access, and NordVPN let you mask your location, giving you access to Root Sports Northwest and other streaming options no matter where you are.
