The Ohio State Buckeyes and Indiana Hoosiers have been the most dominant teams in football this year. Both teams are undefeated, with impressive wins over playoff-caliber opponents, and led by Heisman candidates at quarterback.
Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza and Ohio State QB Julian Sayin are neck and neck for the Heisman, and there's a good chance that this game will decide the winner of the award. The Buckeyes defense is one of the strongest units in the country, so Mendoza will have his work cut out for him. But if anyone can rise to the challenge, it might just be him.
It wouldn't be a stretch to say that Ohio State has owned Indiana, with an all-time record against the Hoosiers of 81-12-5. Indiana's last win versus the Buckeyes came way back in 1988. Indiana has been too good this year to call the game David vs Goliath, but they still have nearly 40 years' worth of losses to avenge this weekend.
In what is potentially the game of the year, Indiana and Ohio State are playing for so much more than the Big Ten. This game will also determine the nation's last unbeaten team, the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff, and possibly the Heisman Trophy winner.
