Coming off of its big Emmy and Golden Globe wins, The West Wing is now setting its sights on the TV Guide Awards. Finalists for the third annual TV Guide Awards were announced today in Los Angeles by Frasier's Jane Leeves and JAG's David James Elliott, and NBC's White House drama led the pack with six finalist nods, including Drama Series of the Year, Actor of the Year in a Drama Series (Martin Sheen), Actress of the Year in a Drama Series (Allison Janney), Supporting Actor of the Year in a Drama Series (Rob Lowe and John Spencer) and Supporting Actress of the Year in a Drama Series (Stockard Channing). Finalists for the third annual TV Guide Awards were announced today in Los Angeles by Frasier's Jane Leeves and JAG's David James Elliott, and NBC's White House drama led the pack with six finalist nods, including Drama Series of the Year, Actor of the Year in a Drama Series (Martin Sheen), Actress of the Year in a Drama Series (Allison Janney), Supporting Actor of the Year in a Drama Series (Rob Lowe and John Spencer) and Supporting Actress of the Year in a Drama Series (Stockard Channing). Frasier and Everybody Loves Raymond tied for second with five finalist nods, followed by ER and Will & Grace with four apiece. Robert Downey Jr. is among the finalists for Supporting Actor of the Year in a Comedy Series for his guest-starring stint on Ally McBeal. Winners of the TV Guide Awards, the largest fan-based TV awards show in existence (some 30 million votes were cast), will be announced on Saturday, February 24 at the Shrine Expo Center in downtown Los Angeles. The show will be broadcast on Fox on Wednesday, March 7 (8 pm/ET). For a complete list of the finalists, click here.
