Exclusive Wayward Pines First Look: What Does Sheriff Pope Have Planned for Ethan's Family?

"Strange things happen." On Wayward Pines, that's the understatement of the century.

In the exclusive sneak peek from Thursday's episode below, Sheriff Arnold Pope (Terrence Howard) utters those words to Theresa Burke (Shannyn Sossamon), who along with her son Ben (Charlie Tahan), is en route to Wayward Pines to search for Ethan (Matt Dillon). But Sheriff Pope intends to make sure that doesn't happen.

In the first look, Pope pulls Theresa over because her car is "leaking oil." However, when Pope offers to fix the problem to keep her from breaking down, he actually makes things much worse. What game is Pope playing? And will Theresa and Ben ever be reunited with Ethan?
