No matter how you feel about HBO's The Newsroom, I think we can all agree that the drama's Season 3 teaser—which features a copy machine spitting out script pages—is rather pretentious.
Naturally, that makes the new trailer for The CW's Veronica Mars spin-off web series Play It Again, Dick—which pokes fun at The Newsroom's with its own take on the copy machine clip with lines like, "Everyone else is outside at the clothing-optional pool"— pretty darn hilarious. Watch it below:
Starring Ryan Hansen as a fictional version of himself, the eight-episode Play It Again, Dick will follow the actor's attempts to produce a show featuring his Veronica Mars character Dick Casablancas. Most of the original cast will return, including Kristen Bell and Jason Dohring, for the show within a show.
Play It Again, Dick will premiere on CW Seed, The CW's online-only platform, on Tuesday.
