Vampire Diaries' co-creator and executive producer Julie Plec may co-write with Williamson.
Williamson, 45, recently signed a deal with Warner Bros. Television, which produces The Vampire Diaries. The sophomore show is one of the CW's highest-rated shows. The most recent new episode attracted 3.4 million viewers and 1.6 rating in the 18-to-49 demographic on Nov. 11.
Williamson is also known for creating Dawson's Creek and penning Scream.
