Valerie Bertinelli’s Sitcom Return

Valerie Bertinelli, former star of One Day at a Time, has signed with TBS to star in a new, unnamed sitcom.The vehicle, reports Variety, will feature Bertinelli as a single mom struggling to raise her two kids and run the family business after her husband walks out on her. The Bill Engvall Show, George Lopez and The Drew Carey Show vet Dave Caplan will pen the series. Bertinelli also will receive a producing credit.In an ironic twist, Bertinelli, who once played the child of a single parent on One Day at a Time, will now be playing the single mom.
