Sarah Palin's Son Track Marries

Sarah Palin's oldest son Track, 22, married his high school sweetheart, Britta Hanson, 21, People.com reports. The couple married recently in Hatcher Pass, Alaska, which is about 15 miles north of Wasilla.

"Our families couldn't be happier!" reads a statement from the Hansons and Palins. "These are two hard working, humble, active, studious young adults who grew up together. We're tickled that after two decades of friendship we proudly witnessed their marriage, knowing their new life together will be blessed."

The small ceremony is expected to be followed by a larger celebration this winter at Alaska's Alyeska Ski Resort. Track is an Army Reservist who's planning to attend the University of Alaska after the commercial fishing season. Britta is already attending that university, where she studies nursing.
