There are two name actors to note (Joel Grey and 24 alum Kim Raver), as well as another fly in the Cristina-Owen ointment, but the big news is Izzie's return. Unfortunately, she's back because her mentor (Grey) needs treatment for dementia. As for Raver, she plays an Iraq vet that Owen has recruited as the new cardiothoracic surgeon, and Cristina doesn't like it — or her — one bit. Meanwhile, the merger is making the Chief's hair grayer than ever. Maybe Adele (Loretta Devine) can help. — Paul Droesch
Project Runway
10/9c Lifetime
It's Part 1 of the two-part Season 6 finale, and tension is bursting at the seams. With last week's elimination of the sole remaining male — bye, sensitive Christopher — there's now plenty of "girl power" to go around. So we have the blonde ambition of Carol Hannah and Althea, plus the push of reality villainess Irina (or "Mean-a-Irina," as booted contestant Logan called her). Tonight, these final three designers spin out their garment creations for their Bryant Park runway showing, with avuncular mentor Tim Gunn checking in on their progress. — Dean Maurer
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
9/8c CBS
Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne) comes full circle tonight when he returns to Las Vegas searching for a missing girl, after tracking her to Miami and then to New York on CSI: Miami and CSI: NY earlier this week. The triple crossover concludes with Ray investigating a Vegas prostitution ring that may be involved in human trafficking and may be harboring the hostage Ray is so desperately seeking. — Tim Holland

Liz and Jack's quest to find a new "TGS" cast member has been a long-and-winding affair, their star search even taking them to Kenneth's surreal backwoods hometown. But all that was worth it, because the new cast member (Broadway star Cheyenne Jackson) finally arrives. The overly spoiled Tracy and Jenna, upon noticing the low-maintenance newbie's cool humility, both consider changing their prima-donna attitudes. And there's new biz for Ms. Liz: The perennially exasperated "TGS" overseer is offered her own talk show. — Dean Maurer
